I was just watching stream , and I didn't see any similar move to B3 1 2. Think that would be so bad if we don't get this combo back in game...what you guys think ? It was his signature move , and I rly love it :(

Truth is, we don't know what strings these characters have. They don't go through and show every string in the game and it seems like the always use the same 2 or 3 strings for examples. I was scared Raiden doesn't have a advancing string like b3, but maybe they simply haven't shown everything.

On another note, Kang definitely had the other string from MK9...the one that ends with a overhead.

I see why Liu mains would be sad to see it go, but I personally hated that string - or rather the repetitive pillar to post B312's with the occasional 213.
I really like him in his new state. If it is gone, hopefully it'll lead to him becoming more fleshed out and inventive/dynamic.
Why are people so against that string? lol, all you had to do was block low and stay out of that strings range.

You're telling me that wasn't the easiest 30%+ ever? Aside from his other two repeating combos...
In that regards, it was definitely the easiest combo in the game. I thought you were referring to him as broken or something. I'm sure there will be a easy mode character for beginners to use this time around as well.

Yes, it looks like he may not be totally cheap this time around. Good riddance.

Don't label things you can't beat as "cheap":

When your opponent does something that is working, and you haven't found a way to beat it yet, DO NOT label it as a cheap tactic. What that does is shift the responsibility away from yourself, so you don't have to find a way to beat it. It's counterproductive, and makes you sound like a scrub. Your opponent is going to do everything he can to win, and you should be doing the same. If there's indeed a tactic your opponent is using that you can't beat, go to training mode! I realize MK9's training mode isn't great, but you definitely can figure tons of things out if you just put in the effort. And Injustice has an amazing training mode, so you can learn a lot from it. There's rarely, if ever, a tactic that is unbeatable. So, try everything you can to get around it, defend it, or beat it.

I've also heard players label certain tactics as "boring" or certain gameplay styles as boring. For instance, I know a very common style that gets a lot of complaints is the "keep away". Not necessarily someone who is turtling, but a player who is basically running away the whole match, being very safe. It could also be a player who is zoning. You have to realize, your opponent main goal is to win, as should yours be. So, he's going to do everything he can to win. If he's winning by using a certain tactic, why WOULDN'T he use it? It may be the most boring, cheapest tactic in your eyes, but if he's winning, what would stop him from using this tactic? The only tactics that are "cheap" are the one's that are banned in tournaments. And as I stated earlier, there's very, VERY rarely a move or tactic that is so good that it's banned in a tournament. So basically, anything that's tournament legal, you shouldn't be complaining about.

I've told this to players before, and a lot of the time they say "Well I just won't play that player who is using that tactic". If you're not trying to get better and just playing to play, I guess I would understand that. However, if you want to get better, that's the worst statement you can utter. What the problem is, is that you want to win. And when a player is doing something you can't win against, you want to give it a label to justify losing to it, or losing to that player in general. Instead of actually putting in the effort of finding ways to beat the tactic, it's far easier to just say that the player was playing "cheap" and refuse to play people who play like that. If you actually do want to win, earn it! Don't just play players you can easily beat, what's the point of that? You can just play the AI if you want easy matches. This brings me to my next point, play players better than you!" - Juggs

Fujin!
I want to know why people thought he was still going to have it... I know understand why people assume that characters are going to have the same combos, when they always change in every game. They may have some combos that stay, but they will still be changed. Different animations and data (frames, damages; things like that).

Personally, I'm fine to see it go. I like Liu Kang, and I liked him in MK9 (I don't understand why people hate him so much; there are way worse characters), but I do think a lot of his combos in MK9 were repetitive. I don't really think they were "cheap" considering there are characters who have better moves than Liu. But like I said, I do think they were really repetitive.

Good riddance... that scrubby ass random advantage move can die in a fire.
As far as I know, that didn't have random advantage.
I know some other strings had that, like B23(or B2B3, can't remember which one).

I wouldn't call B312 a signature move, it was one of his best and most used strings in MK9.
