Not that easy. Reptile can use slow forceball and dash in easily because dash>U+3 (her best spacing tool). Boomerangs are too slow to be a threat full screen.
Did you try and say it doesn't work, or are you just disagreeing because that is what people do on forums? Currently a lot of Jade's game is based on prediction. I did describe ways that AREN'T prediction but reaction, but the fact of the matter is if you let Kenshi keep away, you lose. Thus, you need to move in. I also described how, and when. I love how everybody on here knows better than the next guy. These things worked for me 100% against Kenshi, if you know better, go ahead and correct me. Saying that what I seem to know is rubbish, is pretty immature.
This thread is turning into crap. How about threads for every Jade vs. 'character' breakdown? I think it's a good idea, but only after the next patch.
Slow Forceball is not a problem. And yes, not that easy at all. But when you knock him back a Rang keeps him in check. Obviously you can't use the rang twice in a row, he'll dash after the first is blocked. Im just saying when you do knock him back full screen, Rang him once. It'll beat dash so he has to block or jump (Up Rang beats jump). But yeah Reptile is tough. Jaded, I'm saying it doesn't work, most of it, and most of what you say anywhere for that matter. Nobodys saying they know better than the next guy, and in fact most members post viable strats and helpful info nearly all of the time. The way you worded it makes it sound like Kenshi is no problem for Jade, (because you can predict everything) when he is. I said your strat is rubbish because it's based purely off prediction, but appreciate the effort none the less.
I totally agree. I always do a low-rang when Reptile is down, or even when I think is a good opportunity. Reptile has good ground game and low-rang keeps him a little tight in my experience.
Completely Jaded: You don't ever base matchups off "predictions". It's like saying if I predict KL will do a spin and I block it, I get to do a full combo. Does that make spin all this sudden not good and not top tier? Kenshi can EASILY get a Jade player out of his face and it's very hard to get back in. This is a fact. Matchup discussion is not "Jade can't win" it's "WHAT does Jade (or insert your favorite char here) need to do to win". I main JC. I will easily hands down say Reptile beats JC. That doesn't mean if I don't block a few elbows I won't make him suffer for it, but the fact is, I DO have to work harder. If you actually think Kenshi has to work harder in this matchup vs Jade, I don't know what else to tell you
It's not rubbish, it's just not somehow universal. A tactic against certain character must be something universal. You can't say: "if does this... you do that... if he tries this... you try that..." - it seems like a guessing game. Instead if you say: "keeping Kenshi away/close" - it sounds like a strategy. Next stop - breaking down the possibilities to keep this strategy going. I hope I got it clear.
Yeah, it's good, but why do I have to use 1 bar to have some 5 secs to try to hit an opponent which can back away or give +50% damage? Anyway, it may be good + df4, or just dashing towards (thanks for the good dash).
Well its either that or dash blocking. I would say EX shadow kick but like most cases, its a waste of meter.
En-shadow kick is great for getting in, but for Jade it's not always a good idea, so it remains situational.
I would like to post some of vids of mine for you guys to critique. I would do the same from you. Hopefully we can all LEARN from our mistakes and LEVEL UP.
In my experience Kabal's zoning doesn't really work. It's his pressure and nomad's dash that beat me. Every time I played a good Kabal he started with zoning first and always finished with pressure I fought some fucking impressive Kabals online who were mashing NDC and iAF professionally, damn, they were good... But the only thing that bothered me was the dash, the complete fullscreen dash, not the cancelled one, so I think it's pretty 5-5.
You make it sound like 6-4 but whatever. I also have a problem with the Liu Kang matchup. It says 5-5 but Cage is 6-4 in favor of cage. They are both rushdown characters so shouldn't Kang be 6-4?
LoL Yeah, you're right, if it'd be my way - they'd all be 9-1 (just for fun not being 10-0). I'm saying 5-5 just because I'm playing online and I mess up the bf3 input a lot, but I bust his balls when I have the chance.
I have no idea, about the kabal matchup though. Only thing Jade has to be scared of the is Run cancel nonsense. : \ But true story once that happens shes probabaly gonna start losing.
Yeah once Kabal gets in on Jade she won't have too many options to choose from, it'll be very difficult to handle the dash cancel pressure.
Jade actually has several options against dash cancel. Poke out. - after the string. NOTES: - Timing is strict. - d3, 4, df2 - d4, 4, df4 df4. df3 - d1, throw. Staff grab. - When he's in range. NOTES: - Timing is strict. - Only use when you're with your back to the corner, to put him in the corner behind you. Ex glow. - Nuff said. Sweep. - Knockdown game, timing is strict. Ex Overhead - Into combo.
