Injustice and MK9 Streaming Live from GUTS 3 This Sat. 9/20

I have like a 10% chance of making it. I have a huge work project for this weekend that's gonna take up almost all of Friday and Saturday, and possibly Sunday. I'll try to tune into the stream though.

So is injustice going to be Steam late into the night? I'm mean the schedule says from 4-7 but MK is still on now at 5:15. I know MK started late, so is the thinking here that since nothing is scheduled after injustice that it can start / end late too?

Update: @SonicFox5000 wins both injustice and Mk9 at GUTS 3 (sonya blade & batgirl)

More to come later
If one of you guys could get me the full results for KI, Injustice, and MK9, I'll gladly fix up an article for the event. Alternatively, one of you can do the honors of typing up the post and I'll promote it.

EDIT: Never mind, Crimson got it.

Stream ran very well

Tournament seemed to run very well

NE guys and people around there how about support this event a little stronger next time. I'm told it's in CONN which is within a 3-4 hour drive for the entire NE Area.

Whys it so hard to support well ran events???

Anyway props to SHAWK for having a consistent stream w quality. He's still arrogant (hand that feeds- I built this community ......laughable bs) but props are due. Looked great and was fun to watch

Congrats fox on pure domination, your heads above 99% of your competitors.

Good job pecker, don't blame online, blame tourney exp . Still u got 3rd which is really good

KDZ looked strong and smart

Mk9 results? Entries??

Guys. I really had a great time at this venue. Not only did I have fun playing and hanging with all the guys. But I won $500 at the blackjack table right before leaving to head home. Lol. So... You can't get better than that for a venue.

@SonicFox5000 took 4 different games last night. It was amazing to watch.

@KDZ fed us rainbow shots throughout the night. And hopefully @DarthArma is feeling better from the tooth pain he had all night.

@Peckapowa, @CptXecution, @Benbeeach. It was great seeing you guys. @Cossner!!! I want a runnnnnnn backkkkkkkk. @G4S Claude VonStroke, it was a pleasure grabbing grub with you and Cossner. Hope to see more of you guys in the future.

@Steven Lee. For your first offline experience, I hope it was a great one. You're a cool kid, keep up the hard work.

Shock, the hard work and time you put into streaming these events is amazing. Thanks for being such a cool guy. I had a blast commentating and just shooting the shit with you. See you at Winter Brawl.

Anyone that I might've missed. My bad. But you're still awesome.

Thanks for watching guys, I'll give my shoutouts later today. There might be a history lesson as well. Videos are going to youtube right now, everything except the WWE stuff because of the potential copyright issues with it, however the footage is going on the GCW youtube which I'll get a link to for anyone interested in seeing how ridiculously hype that was.

I posted MK9 results in the chat but didn't get to copy them to the post before the chat erased it. I'll get the full results for that up as well from James since he has the bracket.

Also, I just had youtube.com/kombatnetwork verified so the longer videos will post correctly, so the majority of GUTS is available, and I'll resubmit the archived stuff.

Also, I personally seeded both the Injustice and MK9 brackets, couple errors, one was corrected, where Sonic Fox's brother was listed under the wrong name and would have wound up playing each other second round. The other was two RM players because one didn't have the tag listed but they were fine with it. Also one double jeopardy was avoided for Cossner and @MaStUr ChEef, who would have met in losers quarters I believe after playing in winners. A couple players were DQ'd into losers because they were on the other side of the room and never even heard that the tournament was starting. Other than that, everything went really well, I ran the brackets exactly as I always do when I am the doer for smaller turnouts when there's time to play with, which is all or most of round 1 winners on stream, then run round 2 winners on stream and round 1 losers off stream at the same time, and this catches up in round 2 losers so that losers quarters and semis is about ready to roll on stream when we get to winners finals. It worked out perfectly for both games. We also expanded the winners bracket to 3/5 at round 3 through instead of the advertised 2/3 which seemed to go over well.

Onto shouts

Had a fantastic time at GUTS 3 this weekend and much thanks to James York and his wife Alana for putting this event together in grand fashion. Turnout had to be at least double last year's and the Foxwood Casino venue was an excellent choice. KN really appreciates the invite for the 2nd year in a row to stream NRS games, and also streaming the WWE 2K14 Tournament at the end of Saturday night was a real treat.

Congratulations to @SonicFox5000 on continuing his reign of terror and taking both MK9 and Injustice. Congratulations also to @DarthArma for coming out of no where and winning the WWE 2K14 tournament, ending Matty Owens' 26 month winning streak!

Thanks to @Claudevonstroke for handling stream activities when I couldn't be there, and also holding down commentary for most of the night with @Cossner, @RM_xSTRANGERx, @Peckapowa and @DarthArma. You guys did a great job. Special thanks to @KDZ for holding down the bar and making mixed drinks.

Shoutouts to the GCW crew for making that WWE stream more hype than Hyper Fighting.

Thanks to Xavier Woods for tweeting out the KombatNetwork stream during the WWE tournament.

If I forgot anyone, let me know!

Not only did I get bodied in black jack, (lost 5 hands straight at 15 bucks each) but it turns out that my wisdom tooth is infected! Even WITH all that I still managed to have an AMAZING! time at this event. It was awesome seeings everyone as usual. WWE, casino, injustice, street fighter, drinks, this even pretty much had EVERYTHING!

My first offline was a completely different experience. I had a lot of fun although I went 0-2 in both games. I felt like I could have done a lot better if I actually played offline regularly since I dropped way too many combos. My ultimate frisbee team was there cheering me on and I had a blast with them there. Hopefully I can attend more events but it is hard for me due to going to frisbee tournaments as well (the next one is the same weekend as TFC). I just hope that New Challengers starts hosting some NRS games again because they are very close to where I live and I would go all the time.
