Hi, everyone. I think it would be really useful to compile a list of un-techable knock downs for the cast.

I know a few, but it's pretty difficult to find that specific info in the character forums which brings me to the creation of this thread.

Please be aware that this list does NOT contain moves that leave you standing OR set ups where you hit your opponent out of a tech roll or OTG them into blocking state.

NOTE: If a special, both regular and EX versions are untechable unless noted. If "Throws", both forward and back throws are untechable. If only one or the other, it will be specified.

Scorpion: X-ray, Throws
Air Throw, Takedown

Sub Zero: Throws
Slide

Reptile: X-ray, Throws

Ermac: X-ray, Throws
EX telepush

And if a list like this already exists, I guess fuck me for not looking hard enough.

*note I've tagged the mod or a known player of each character to speed up turn around time

Been wanting to know this for a while, but what does it mean for a knockdown to be techable? Like able to do wakeups while getting up or something?

Since you mentioned throw for smoke and reptile im going to have to look into it for Stryker.

Stryker
- Baton sweep and EN baton sweep (Dash D3 after EN baton sweep denies the opponent a wake up attack :))
- Roll toss and EN roll toss

I don't know off the top of my head of any untechable knockdowns that Liu Kang has. I'll spend some time in training mode later tonight.

Sindel- Very Important to end combos in Hair whip to prevent tech rolls.

Mileena's ending combos in u+4 followed by b2 prevents tech rolls, and wake up attacks without armor. (im not too sure about her roll either, i think if a second roll is used, the opponent is unable to tech roll, not sure)

Kitanas forward + Grab, her 2 Otgs, so it will hit them if they try to roll out/get out

Are all X-rays untechable?

Not all throws are. I know Smoke's forward throw is techable.

Good to know about those throws , also some Xrays are techable , Sindels and Kitanas Xray are techable at least.

Nope not all x-rays are. Kung Lao's is one off the top of my head that allows a roll.

I was going to leave all X-rays out since I thought they were all untechable but now they're there.

OP updated. The first line of each name is X-Ray and Throw since they are by far the most common, then other untechable moves are on the line below.
