Even Miyamoto thinks Filthy Casuals are terrible

"[These are] the sort of people who, for example, might want to watch a movie. They might want to go to Disneyland," he said.

"Their attitude is, 'okay, I am the customer. You are supposed to entertain me.' It's kind of a passive attitude they're taking, and to me it's kind of a pathetic thing. They do not know how interesting it is if you move one step further and try to challenge yourself [with more advanced games]."
Hopefully we start getting good games back again being created by companies that want to deliver fresh new IPs.

Isn't that what developers have been saying for the last few years?

Nothing is changing until the inevitable gaming crash arrives.

So maybe MK, SF, etc will be on the next console? Then they can piss off with Wii fit and other such abominations.

A bit late there Miyamoto, considering the Wii and Wii U.

Hopefully this is a sign of Nintendo finally pulling their heads out of their stupid, stubborn asses. I would love for Nintendo to be on top again, especially in an industry where shitty "cinematic" press-X-for-ART games are getting more and more prevalent. Put your money where your mouth is, Nintendo.
