maybe because mk11 was a stale holo experience and mk9 felt like it had differentiated playstyles, interesting offense and more outplay potential and mkx was literally pure rushdown/mixups?
The issue is nether realm isn't gifted, creative, or experienced enough to design both rewarding, intelligent and innovative fighting game play at a strategic level. I'm sure the bureaucracy of the company plays a role and hinders this, but they simply aren't innovative and when they come up...
i could fuzzy block earthshaker ez online atleast after d1 or in fairly predictable situation. Character could still be played by a monkey in my opinion. Like literally if i could pick 1 character to train an ape to play in any fighting game it would doomday. Get's in completely free barely...
on a hard read you can trade for a full combo vs non knockdown projectiles with his ex lantern throw. If you having zoning adv his projectile should outtrade.
There isn't one i can think of that stands out, people assume low tier means not scrubby not always the case, some low tiers are basic. I just DK in this game it doesn't feel like there's a character with a ton of depth.
stop using f21 in neutral its really bad, only use it if you feel very certain about a punish or whiff punish. f12 / f1 put you in way better situations
wakeup buttons is a thing i have found to be effective. I'll delay wakeup 2-3 times in a row mixed with a roll or two, once they've chilled out i'll seriously not delay wakeup and then wakeup jab. I feel the wakeup game in this is super strong.
riu kang
b1 - b124 or b1 - f4
f4 staggers on there own
f33 stance cancel into low or f33 stance cancel into cancel into f4 or grab or f333
b124 ex fireball
a lot of lius like to f4 on its own into grab / it's all what the particular liu kang does though. Playing the character yourself my help.
You do, but one thing soul steal might be good for, it's super plus on hit, so say your opponent is Geras you can put them in their own grinder after. Though the morph back part is kind of scary.
I think shang is definetly solid without soul steal.
