MK9 could be a well balanced game without touching the breaker/meter system. It's simple and works very well. The problem lies with a few overpowered...
lol lets not act like the breaker system was why Kabal, Sonya, Smoke, etc were so good
I think the dashing should be tweaked a bit. Back dashes should be invincible and should not be able to be canceled. Forward dashing should remain...

The counter hit system that gave me the idea was from Virtua Fighter, but Tekken's system is similar from what I remember.
I mean a simple counter hit system. CH's usually grant more damage on said hit, frame advantage, longer hitstun, etc. Some CH's even alter attack...

The wakeup game is a guessing game. The player who scored the knockdown always has the better odds. Obviously that's not the case with MK9.
Which MK? You can't name 2 MK games that are over 60% alike lol. It's revamped with almost every iteration.
