It's going to be brand new game from very reputable creators, NetherRealm Studios, and that means a new crowd. Whether it's the Mortal Kombat fan-base, DC comics' readers, casual players or fighting game players, when Injustice lands on April 16th (19th world-wide) we can expect an influx of players and competition. With this being said and to note the magnitude of its impact, 2012's Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3's Evolution Champion, Filipino Champ has recently noted his interest for the game via twitter.

Whether or not some players will stick with the game or try it out and move on will be seen in time. This could very well be a game that brings worlds together and opens new doors for the fighting game community. While Mortal Kombat players are used to holding a button to block while Street Fighter, Marvel, etc players are used to the standardized "holding back" to block, may make some question who will be the first to become the better player?

One thing is certain... the community is ready to pick a side!

Because its NRS and hes a Capcom player people are shocked lol.. This is not the reason..
FChamp is a big comic book fan.. Any comic book fan is gonna pick it up regardless who its made by really..

On the flipside Champ is well known and respected. Many players are going to follow his lead.

Fuck the lab

Whenever non-MK players play our game we usually are bodied on fundamentals, and only surpass a lot of them on lack of game knowledge on their part in a number of cases
I don't think I have any Lool.

I think one big mistake we can make is expecting to play Injustice like MK9.

I'm glad to see the game is getting a lot of attention and drawing a crowd, that can do nothing but good for this game competitively.

Holding back to block alone is going to change so much about fundamentals. I can guaruntee it could take a lot of players a while to get used to this.

Not really true. These guys have been breaking down new games for years and know where to start. Our community is full of fan boys that really havent played something competitively before because mk9 was the first legit mk game. It took us almost a year to get frame data which still isnt accurate because of game design flaws and im willing to bet90% of the people on this site still dont know how to read frame data. Where as their community youre laughed at for still not understanding such basic information.

Yeah I think we are saying the same thing in different ways

a huuuuuge part of the MK community's lack of fundamentals (on the average player) is almost entirely due to lack of experience with competitive fighting games. You can't expect a guy thats been playing for 2 years to hold a candle to these guys that have been playing and breaking down games for 10+

I get what you're saying and definitely agree

One thing I do hope is that this game doesnt get raped with a 1000 different types of tierlist the first couple of months lol.

The day ChrisG stops boding everyone, is the day MK community can say, we're probably as advanced as them.

This is my first FG and Sao is right, I don't get frame data much, Lol. Or have fundamentals. Idc tho, I'll learn.

Speaking of fundamentals, does anyone know if this game is actually going to have links?? That's something that I just can't stand about MK...LINKS DON'T FUCKING MATTER lol.

Everyone will be playing this, whether they stick with it is up to NRS
Came here to post this.

I still find really odd, there are so many things not shown yet, many characters revealed, and not a single video or anything, i really hope NRS don't rush this game, i'm rooting for a new (and staying)brand of fighting games with DC characters, hopefully this will be initiation.

I SEE EVERYTHING!

I'm glad MK9 isn't the only game that I play nor is it my first competitive game and that I'm already used to holding back to block. ;)
