Injustice - It's a "New Experience" Unlike MK vs DC 2 Expectations

I guess I just don't understand the 110% buy-in on a game that we know nothing about. NRS can't patch a currently tournament-viable game because...why? Because a new game will make money and a patch would only increase intangible assets like loyalty and integrity?

I'm simply unwilling to give my undying devotion to a new game that appears overly cinematic and in my opinion gimmicky. Without specific details or gameplay videos showcasing how combat is intended to work, the only logical thing to look at is appearance.

You guys might harp on me for being overly judgmental. I would ask you to question whether you're looking through rose-tinted glasses

My opinions are based on the appearance of the game/gameplay from what we've seen so far + ~15 years of fighting game experience.

sheesh no need to get ur panties in a bunch, its something brand new and really exciting, sorry discussing jade specific character specific situation specific reset situations or how reo took a hot steamy dump after eating mcdonalds the other day, gets dry after a while. its a brand new fucking fighting game wiht fucking badass superheroes to play around with, all new characters and a new system, just try to enjoy it rather than being completely overly critical without even seeing real gameplay or putting ur hands on it

I think you're blowing things way out of proportion. How can know if Injustice is broken. It hasn't been played in a tournament environment and the game if still in development. Superman being able to fly doesn't necessarily make him powerful. You have to consider Pokes, Anti Airs, Frame advantage etc... which we know nothing about.

As far as big turnouts to tournaments and streaming, yes MK is dying down after EVO. There is still MLG and "grassroot" tournaments after that, but lets be real, the numbers dropped and will continue after EVO. I'm not saying the game is 100% dead...just that it settled down.

Try to pay employees and rent with loyalty and integrity. I have a feeling they will want actually money instead. MK9 is on version 1.05 so they put plenty of time and money "fixing" the game. I know there are still issues that I would love fixed, but that is not happening so accept it and move on.

I, at first, was like you annoyed by all the new stories about Injustice, but after seeing everything that is going on I am pretty excited about it. Now the only thing Injustice related that bugs me is people thinking the few bits of footage is going to reflect the actual game play. Go watch a MK9 pre-release trailer and see how many things look like an actual match that is fought.

I can't understand why everyone is worried about the same 3 cinematic sequences they keep showing. Ed Boon already said it's the equivalent to x-rays and fatalities. I highly doubt you can just perform those sequences over and over and over. It's more than likely gonna require meter like a x-ray or something.

Me too, but it has settled to a steady number. Hopefully those same people keep going and can talk others into going as well.

Man here we go again, people complaining about nothing. Why are all you NEGATIVE NELLIES all assuming we are calling this game the best thing since sliced bread off of a few preview trailers?!?! Am I excited as hell for this game? Hell yeah dude, but that doesn't mean I am expecting it to take over the fighting game scene or be the best thing I have ever played, I AM JUST LOOKING FORWARD TO A GAME THAT GAINS MY UNDIVIDED ATTENTION! It being a game with some of my favorite superheroes brawling it out makes me stoked to play because of what it could be! I'm not going to drop every other game I play and never play another game again just because Injustice has been announced, I am just excited for something new! Man...can't enjoy nothin' on this site these days.

You doubters are basing your opinions on so little. I'm not saying the game will most definitely be good, but I'm optimistic .

Here's something I think we all forgot about:

Just look at how basic of stuff they showed at the reveal and it still blew our minds. Compare this to how much gameplay we've seen of InJustice so far and I think we can imagine how cool the game will turn out being.

I hope not! This game has years of gameplay, refinement and discovery left in it. This game could possibly turn out to be the Super Turbo of the MK scene, depending on how things fall.

totally right. this is gonna be soo dumb. when are they gonna make the anticipated mk sequel? im more worried about that, and how they will reboot the characters
