Last Days Till MKX; Hype Survival and Coping Group Therapy Thread

Pretty much checking TYM everyday and watching all the kombat cast over and over. The game stop where I live is having a mk9 tournament leading up to the midnight release so I've been practicing for that as well. But time is still slowing down it feels like and these final weeks are going to get worse

I really like this thread...

Well i took a couple of days off work. I've been playing other games to keep my mind off the wait... it's not really working lol. I just want the game in my hands so i can really enjoy it. I honestly haven't been this excited for a game in LONG time.

I agree man. I've been gaming for 24 years (since i was 3 lol) and I've honestly NEVER been this excited for a game. This wait is unbearable...

There's something about Mortal Kombat, because I'm the same way.

But yeah, I work full-time plus I'm going into a management training program at work, so time will pass relatively smooth for me, I think. I'm aiming to take two days off to play MKX when it comes out and I'm going in via Premium Edition digital download. I was going to pre-order from GameStop, but why do that when I can use the 40 mins of driving and use that time playing?

Trying to beat Last of Us... even though it's amazing, it's not MKX and it's SO hard to even turn on at this point.

College keeps me pretty distracted and has made the wait time since summer fly by.

Starting to get that Christmas eve feel though. Can't help it this close to launch. Favorite franchise of all time.

I finished The Last of Us for the first time a few days ago, this game is incredible, one of the best games I've ever played. You should consider finish it because this game is awesome and you won't regret it

So after all of this talk about the game being leaked yesterday (discussion I am staying away from), I realized how difficult the next week will be. I'm STILL amazed at how badly I want to try out Mileena.

Having the story leak thread right there is killing me but it's too close to give in now

I'm starting to feel like a recovering addict, who is trying to find something to fill the void. Nothing is good enough right now, lol. I've tried to learn a bit of DoA and couldn't stick with it because MKX is soooo close. I installed Halo MCC and turned it off at the menu. I load KI and leave it sitting at the menu while I browse TYM. I'm now attempting to play Child of Light......so far so good. 8 days boys.

Just got Far Cry 4 Limited edition for £15 on PS4 yesterday so hopefully that'll tide me over.
Been playing KI trying to get top 32, did it and then thought 'whats the point'? The point system is just who plays the most, not who's the best. But I have improved quite alot at it now.
Writing notepads of shit to test when the game comes out.

I recently upgraded my pc for the anticipated release of MKX. I thought with all this new pc power I could play some games that I could never before, but the only thing I've had any interest in was Dying Light and I havn't even being doing that in my spare time

I downloaded MK9 to get used to stick ahead of time. Other than that, watching a lot of tv recently. The Killing in particular, started Hannibal. Probably gonna see if there's any good anime this season, catch up on some movies, maybe start second season of American Horror Story. Playing games has become harder because for whatever reason the fun has been sapped out of them a bit due to the anticipation of MKX. It's kinda like if you have something really important or stressful you have to do soon and you are just wasting time till you have to do it, it weakens things you normally find fun until you get that release. Video game blue balls basically. That's what MKX has given me.

Is it leaked to download :O??

I play a lot of PC games. In fact the only reason I even own a console is because I couldn't get mk9 in 2011 for PC so I was forced into buying a ps3. I play d3, path of exile, CS:GO, hearthstone, borderlands 2, dota 2, marvel heroes, infinite crisis, starcraft 2, guild wars 2, heroes of the storm, online poker, left 4 dead 2, various CoDs and battle fields, and many many more games. On console i have Injustice and MK9 .

I have tried going back and playing all of those games. Keyword here is tried. Each game lasted a maximum of 1 hour and the entire time while playing them I was thinking MKX MKX get over here FINISH HIM and Who's Next?

For the past month I have been watching and rewatching all the kombat kasts and reveals.

I have watched this particular video atleast 30 times. Takeda didn't exist to me a month ago and now he is all i can seem to think of.

After trying all of these games to pass time and watching countless tv shows and movies, I still find the majority of my day surfing the webs for info or re watching old footage and rummaging through TYM. The closer we get to April 14th the less enjoyment i find elsewhere. It's truly consuming my life currently.

I recently quit my job to pursue a better career and actually use my college welding certification. Except now I'm in this pickle where I know i need to make money, but i have enough money to take a month off for MKX because of taxes. So what should I do. Should i be responsible?

Finals/college and work keep me plenty busy. When I get some sort of downtime, I'm playing The Last of Us or Bloodborne. Time has been moving pretty quickly.

At this point i'm just dodging these fucking spoilers.

No, not really, I am honestly extremely hype for MKX, I can't stop viewing forums or MK related stuff.

I am going back through the MK Legacy series, and probably will watch at least the first MK movie again, its a classic.

-Have you figured out a way to lessen the struggle of waiting almost 4 years in order to wait.. 20.. More.. days..

Well, see, I sort of stopped playing MK9 after the first year it came out, and just days ago decided that I wanted to buy MKX. So..
