well, i'm no baraka main, not even a huge fan. But based solely on the achievements, the evidence points to his inclusion.

a) There are no other story bots or npcs in the achievement pictures. Not even from story mode footage.
b) Everybody looks like shit in those pics. If this was any confirmed character, no one would question it.
c) No other shot is cropped to show characters and background that was about the background. The "ship" on that level isn't even pictured, so its obviously a shot about the character.
d) We already know what the "generic" tarkatan looks like, and that's not one of them. It resembles the probable leader Tarkatan in the story trailer, ie: Baraka
e) None of the other cameos (thus far) have been fightable. Chapter one alone bypasses a ton of other "cameos" who would all be much easier to simulate with existing assets than the tooth monster with blades in his arms.

So, either NRS is trolling mad hard by letting fans unlock a picture of a char they cannot have (never done that before) or Baraka is playable. Or worse, he's dlc and this is the viral advertising ever.

DLC if it happens.
They can put a picture of whatever they want on a chevo.
Hes Baraka so ya he wont have a gerenic Tarkatan skin, but enough detail so we know who is.
The other slots are pretty much set in stone with everything wever seen.
Hes either DLC or vaporware

I think there would be 2 slots for DLC scrolling ala MK2011, one where is Goro right now and the other at the oppsosite extreme. And they will get rid of the random slot to put Liu Kang when unlocked, then fill the other slots with Erron, Jaquie, Shinnok, Jax, Kenshi and Sonya and you're good to go.

I understand the baraka evidence, but how do you explain them leaving Liu kang out if thats the case? If this was a spot rumored to be taken by another jobber like tremor or havik then sure id be leaning baraka. But its him vs one of the series main guys. They could also put Liu in the question mark spot i guess.

Also I'm pretty sure that's why they've refused to show goro. Jason and predator will probably pop up too, if not the other two classic characters.

I'm pretty sure that's going to be the final roster. There's a chance that Baraka and another character being in the game, though. Not a huge chance, just an okay chance... But honestly, I think 24 is it.

I don't think it was ever confirmed, unless I missed something. But it could very well be a placeholder, considering NetherRealm normally adds Random under "Player Options". Maybe it's Baraka (because of that leaked screenshot)?

ya people are now starting to make excuses that always leading to the "leak" being the only outcome. I mean its obvious the leaked characters will all be in MKX, i just htink NRS has something up their sleeve.

No way NRS purposely revealed(not leaked) all the characters except one(Liu Kang) a month before the game comes out.

I really think the question mark is the random selection slot. Can you remember the mk9 demo? You guys love conspiracy theory! :eek:

Am I the only one that feels kind of disappointed in the roster? I know that the saying is quality over quantity but.... I wish more 3D era characters made it in and got revamped.

By the way, gut feeling tells me Reiko won't make it cause he'll die in the comic. He seems to be the big bad (of the comic) so I think they are gonna kill him off in it.

I was disappointed at first. Then I saw the cage gameplay and the angle they are running with Jax and what not. i have accepted my fate and i am complient

The last thing Liu Kang remembered was being betrayed by Raiden during the invasion of EarthRealm at the hands of Shao Kahn, Emperor of Outworld. Liu Kang had been resurrected to serve as a revenant for the sorcerer Quan Chi, but his body was still damaged and heavily scarred. Despite his flawed appearance, his powers were stronger due to evil dark magic than before. Quan Chi promised the monk he would have his revenge against Raiden, the reason behind his death. Liu Kang didn’t trust the sorcerer. He would destroy Raiden and protect EarthRealm by himself and he would also eliminate Quan Chi as well for helping Shao Kahn attempt an invasion of the realm he loved so dear.
