MKX - PS3 Arcade Sticks Compatible with PS4

if you read the full tweet i specifically ask about a hitbox with a ps360 board and they assure me that it will work
Not exactly they said hitbox is confirmed to work. In their reply they do not mention what Hitbox. They might have ignored the jargon and assumed all hitboxes are the same. There is a Hitbox that is for only ps3.

OMG!!!!! I'm playing catch up on all the news after work and I thought Kung Jin would be the biggest news for me today....and then this!?! Elder Gods bless you NRS! All the haters who think you don't care about the fans can politely hold that shit until the end of time.

I'd like any NRS reps reading this to know that I intend to take that money I was going to use to buy a PS4 stick to buy a second copy of MKX on PC instead.

Re-asking question, hopefully this thread stays on topic?
I Wish I could find you information, but all I keep running into are sites that are quoting the fact that Lab Zero was putting together a Compatibility List.

Here are (2) quotes that may give you some additional insight however:

"Lab Zero CEO Peter Bartholow told Polygon that "any stick that reads as a generic USB gamepad or joystick will work," explaining that this covers MadCatz TEs and "other smaller brands and custom options such as the GodLike Controls' Cthulhu boards."

"However, Bartholow clarified that devices that identify themselves as a DualShock 3 will not work with the driver, which means products like Akishop’s PS360+ board and the InPin PS2 to PS3 adapter aren’t supported."

These are old quotes however, it is possible the drivers have been updated or there is a newer revisions since the time these were written/quoted.

I just successfully hacked a PS4 controller and interfaced it with arcade controls. I need to get some sleep right now, so I'll post pics and details tomorrow. This is just a backup plan in case the PS3 fight sticks don't work for the PS4 menu. I need them to work for not just the game, but for full PS4 functionality if I want to use them for my MKX arcade project. If they don't, I'll just hack another PS4 controller and go that route.

For those that didn't catch it, the PS4 version of MKX will be compatible with PS3 sticks and controllers!!! This is HUUUUUUGE!!!

To clarify, it will ONLY work with controllers that identify as "generic USB" devices and not PS3. Which means DualShock 3 controllers and the InPin PS2-to-PS3 converter will not work, and 360 controllers won't, either, for obvious reasons. Most sticks, however, will work, and a lot of USB controllers will work.

For someone like myself, though, who wishes to use the Logitech F310 for fighting games, this is an absolute godsend! :D

Thanks! I kept running into those quotes too, I was hoping they had put out a list somewhere. Since ps4 skullgirls comes out after MKX I assume we'll get that list after 4/14.

I'm very curious about this as well, if they worked the ps4 menu it would be a big deal. I don't see how they will though, if it's code built into the game. If anybody on here could shed some light on this or just ask lab zero (I have no twitter) that would be fantastic.

Someone with the PS360+ and/or Cthulu who could check as what they show up in the different modes with the newest firmware? So we know to which Hitbox the Lab Zero Tweet was referring for sure. I ordered both boards but they will not be here until the end of next week...

As long the stick has been licensed by Sony, it will work:

For example, look at the bottom right corner of my stick's box:

If you have that "Official Licensed Product" icon on the box of your stick, you're good to go.
My Smartphone doesn't have much quality but...Holy Shit i'm good to go.

This is why I'm concerned for the Qanba users however, I feel like I remember reading that they use actual Dualshock 3 PCBs to get it working with PS3.

On the other hand, I have a certain something that gets recognized as a "generic USB controller" when I use it on PS3.....

Soon, my old friend... <3

But nonetheless, good to hear how many bases are covered by this, our options are the polar opposite of Wound Cowboy's. :DOGE

Yup, don't see why not.

Does anyone know what kind of board is in the Qanba q4? I literally cannot find an answer to this on Google...I'm starting to get nervous that it won't work, but I'm definitely not dropping $200 on a new stick until SFV either way.

I have both a dual modded Xbox 360 VLX and Mad Katz TE, Im hoping either of those will work. If not, I'll guess I'll have to use my mint condition PS3 Mad Katz TE.

So an EoghtArc fusion most likely out of the mix? I'm not stick savvy but having been using this stock for two years and it fits me like a glove and don't want to part with it.
