DBZ Xenoverse 2014

Anyone notice the main villain looks like anime Shinnok?

This game is suuuuuuper addicting.

Installing it now! Need something FG related to play while I wait for April.

I need help. Every main story fight I get into I lose. Is it normal to die like, repeatedly like I do? I get hit by one attack from the evil side and lose 1/4 of my health

I'm about to fight Frieza soon so I'm not all that far, but I noticed that when you get hit, you need to use use your jump button and evade. Then counter attack. Same thing when they're blocking, use the jump button to teleport behind them and attack. Do you have the entire combo system down?

Ehhhh, not really. I'm more used to the old one. I just mash XX and YYY lol. If you could explain it or later we can hook up on Xbox 1 n play. Plus guys I got kaio-kenx3!! Im so godlike !

And I'm at the frieza part. You have to fight almost all of her forms.. Well the first one then straight to the last form and can't die.

I'll hit 1111122 it pops them up, then rinse and repeat 2 more times, but end your last string with a special or super. If they get launched during your sting then either hit you boost button to fly near them and try to continue a string like 1111222. It too me a matches to realize it. I play on controller type C which I found to be the best.

Did you just call Frieza a her? lol but yeah DBZ Xenoverse is awesome so far. I'm still fighting Captain Ginyu but I've also completed all the parallel quests so far. I'm liking this game a lot. If anyone has it for Xbox360 let me know

I've only done the first PQ so far. I'm enjoying what I've experienced of it so far, but holy shit, this game is actually challenging! I'm probably gonna need to level up a bit to tackle some of the stuff coming up.

Xenoverse owns, that is all.

Is this worth getting? Is it as good as the Budokai's or Tenkaichi's from back in the day? Honestly thinking of getting it when I get my ps4 :3

Nothing compares to the Budokai series. But the game is good, fun, and addicting. The gameplay takes awhile to get used to, and the AI is pretty tough especially against gankers. I haven't had too much time with it, but first impressions are all good.

Every race/gender has different looking combos, however they all have the same inputs. It's like how Batman's 223 pops up, but Nightwing's 223 knocks them down.

Hopefully this should help explain the combo system (the explanation is in the description):

The gist of it is that after one of combo strings shown in the command list in the above video, you can press 3 to vanish behind them and continue the combo by using more combo strings. *Note: Using a vanish by pressing 3 uses up some of your Guard bar (the 3rd bar underneath your health). Without any Guard meter left you can't escape combos.

Here's a simple example combo for a Saiyan that incorporates the vanish:

You don't have to use the entire combo string in order to vanish in front them and continue the combo, as some races have attacks with enough hitstun to allow you to vanish behind them and continue the combo before you've actually knocked them away.

Here's an example at 0.26:

Some characters can also use regular ki-blasts to continue their combos, such as in the video above at 0.28.

You can also either use super attacks as part of a combo, or as an ender to a combo (e.g- NW's MB Ground Pound is a combo starter, but Flying Grayson is generally a combo ender). Different supers have different properties.
Here, I use Raditz's Shining Friday attack to continue my combo at 0.27:
However, here I use Kamehameha to end my combo at 0.54:

Having played almost all major DBZ games I honestly think this is the best one yet.

I'm dreading having to grind for Dragon Balls so many times. ;_; I'm on my second round of grinding, and the very last Dragon Ball is just not showing up...le sigh. Fuck you RNG.

As soon as I unlock all the characters and costumes, I'm going to re-do my CaC's stats and make a proper PvP build.

Yeah my only real gripe with the game is with the PVP. Not even about the gameplay of it, but rather until you got your level 80 CAW there is not much point to it.

Guys I got KAIO KENx3!!! I'm now FOREVER INVINCIBLE !!! lol

This game is dope though, I thought it had an arcade with it as well.

After I get the Dragon Balls again to re-roll my stats, then get Vegito and SSJ4 Goku unlocked, I'm gonna build up a melee CaC for PvP. Then I'll need a squad ready to go in.

I'm at level 57, so not much longer before I get to 80. The grind at the start is pretty real, but it's so much more doable than other MMOs. Then extra characters get much easier to build.

Dude this game is amazing I literally played it for like 10 hours straight lol. I love everything about it. Add me on XBL guys of you have it

PSA: Ginyu Force poses give you a buff. Ginyu Force Z-Souls give you another buff if you do any Ginyu Force pose, giving you two stacking buffs according to which Z-Soul and pose you picked. Recoome kick also gives you a buff(to basic attack damage).

I made a Ginyu Force character and i've been mixing and matching their buffs and moves and whatnot and it's really fun. I'm already liking it more than my first CAC.

Also Cell's "All Clear" move is so damn satisfying to land.

LOL that slap is godlike.

I still haven't played the game enough to really get into the meat of it. >_> I've done like two more PQs and then went to do something else, lol. I haven't even completed the Time Nest quest or whatever the hell it's called that Trunks wants you to do.

Fuckin' D3: UEE and Inquisition have assumed control of my life.
