Babalities where not hard per se, it depended against who you were playing, I for example did some babalities to my brother, it doesn't mean I'm not a casual, but if we are going to talk about precise one or two frame inputs that rely on muscle memory then it will be prohibitive for the 99%.
I'm sorry but I don't understand this moniker of having no execution barrier because people (general consensus) are too lazy to learn some inputs.

It's not people being "lazy", playing is not a work and shouldn't be a chore, it's just that majority of people want to get fun with the games they play without the need to memorize a large chain of inputs, then hit the lab and train for hours to pull a brutality, plus people usually don't have to much time to spend in videogames. But having some challenge isn't bad, that's why I wrote about the "not-so-easy" option in a previous post, along with the "tournament" option

Isn't Killer Instinct's ultimate combos just ultras with a fatality at the end? If so, maybe brutalities will work something like that...

There is zero benefit to having a difficult input to a finishing move. Finishing moves are catered towards the casual crowd so let them have their fun and watch their silly thing happen. A higher execution barrier for a fatality would not be a challenge for anyone who plays more competitively minded(and most would never bother with fatalities anyway), and only a detriment to those who want to see their flashy thing happen.

If you can remember a 10 hit combo, you can remember 10 inputs just as easy.

But then the brutality wouldn't be that fun for tournament play, it should be a very strict string with one frame links, so it would be hard to pull out even for the likes of REO, PL, etc. That way it should be very rewarding during tournament play. But for casuals I don't mind a "10 hit combo like" brutality if you just need to remember the inputs.

You can't have both though, it has to be one or the other. Granted this is my opinion and you can feel how you want about it. I just think some type of execution should be had.

Edit: That sounded mean spirited, I'm not knocking your opinion in any shape or form.

Im showing my age Contra old NES game UP UP DOWN DOWN LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT B A SELECT START for 30 lives. Thats what they should be lol would be great!!!!!!!!

There is literally nothing rewarding about any kind of fatality for tournament(or competitive) play. When it says finish him you hit the dude with a quick move so you can get that shit over with and start the next fight already. Fatalities are for the casual crowd and high execution barriers are frankly dumb as hell for them.

Maybe they include 2 type of inputs ala IGAU where you can do the same special with two type of inputs, so I wouldn't discard it by any means. Brutalities will have some type of execution, that's for sure, just I hope it will not be too hard to pull off if they include just one type of input.

Well, I remember babalities being very rewarding in tournaments.

Yeah make them basically an extended dial-a-combo that can only be done at the fatality screen. That way it is even fun to watch people drop them and blow them up for it.

Fair enough.

I'm thinking they might reveal brutalities in the next Kombat Kast. I don't know if anyone picked up on this, but Tyler Lansdown said in their last stream that the next episode would be 'brutal'.
