This is why I think Spawn in MKX is bullshit. Boon is known for moving forward and doing new things. Why the hell would he want to use a guest character that someone else already used?

On top of that, I'm willing to bet Warner Bros would rather they use a WB character than Spawn. What do they get from using Spawn? Most people under 25 dont even know who that is.

I forgot what character was mentioned earlier this week/month, but I remember them being shot down for not being "relevant".

Is Spawn still relevant? I don't know. I'm never excited about guest characters, and this is no different. I don't want to tune in to streams for MKX tournaments and see a bunch of Spawns. I was actually excited for Predator, who I feel fits in the MK universe way better.

Guest characters can mostly just fuck right off, though.

Spawn is the fucking best! He got spikes, chains, mad muscles, black and white face, glowing eyes, guns, pistols and he is close enough to Lobo. If you saw my spawn toy and comic collection, you'd feel embarrassed for me.

There's also plenty of "aliens" in MK.

The Tarkatan and Shokan race come to mind, just off the top of my head.

Look, everyone has their opinion. I'm just sick of Spawn being the "go-to" guest character speculation so often. I don't really care about him. Also, I did end my post saying "all guest characters can fuck off". I think the Kombat pack being half guest characters is quite a waste. I really hope the rest of the DLC is worthwhile additions to the game.

Wow, I'm usually against guest characters, but I actually do think Spawn would be a great fit for MK. As long as they stick with his original sleek design from around the first 13 issues, then yeah, I'm on board.

You seemed to have taken that the wrong way.....

It was a joke/ sarcasm because spawn has chains and uses them a bit in the comics and even in the film, true we dont know his moves assuming hes actually in the game. Then theres him you know being undead, from hell etc..

But if he doesnt have and grab or moves with his chains, I will be a little surprised.

I don't consider races such as the Tarkatan and Shokan to be the same as an alien but I can see how you would think that.
