To those who aren't aware, MS and Sony are going to stop supporting the 360 and PS3 next year. I think the time is now to start saving up for a PS4 or Xbone.

You know how Apple comes out with a new iPhone every year? All those people lining up at the door are dropping $400+ on a new phone despite having spent that much the year previous.
At this point, who buys phones that frequently and doesn't have an Edge plan?

I don't think I know anyone who pays full price for every single iPhone.

And then you'd have to keep all your old models to not get the trade-in kickback.

There are a lot of ignorant people in this world, dude. I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't do it because they're unaware of it.

That's the thing though, it's not a port. A port is bringing a title to another platform after release. This is launching on launch day and likely under NetherRealm's direction like with the last gen consoles.

Obviously we'll see, but I suspect it'll be fine. There will be bugs, but even NetherRealm's games have had issues and bugs at launch. The question is will said issues and bugs be game breaking or not.
A port is when you take software from the platform it was originally built on to another platform. The timing is irrelevant. They almost certainly started with one system and then moved it to the others.

I'll be playing MK X on ps3 forever alone for a while before I get my hands on the ps4. Where I live, the price of the ps4 is equivalent to THREE ps3's.

It sounds like it's time to invest in a PS4. I was really hoping to hold out for another year, but fuck it.

Source? As I haven't seen anything official on this. Both Microsoft and Sony said years ago they were giving 10 years of support to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. So that would mean this November for Xbox 360, and next year for PS3.

I don't think Sony's ever released a statement, Microsoft has officially pledged support until "2016" but nothing more specific than that, nor what it will actually mean when the lights go out.

Originally, they planned to support those consoles longer, but people are moving over to the current gen a lot quicker than anticipated. Some quick google searches can tell you more.
