HELP! Authorized EVO Fightpad needed

Why is that?
If you are asking why I say that, it is because:

  • All converters are the responsibility of the player. All Cronus Max converters are not allowed.
IIRC Titan One is a Cronus converter just slightly improved.

If you are asking as to the reason they are banned, it loses connection every 8 minutes because the PS4 sends put a reauthentication request. More importantly it is not tournament legal because of programmable macros and ya ya ya there is tournment firmware but I bet TOs are not gonna wanna fuck with it and will just ban it.

For further reading I will leave you with this link... good info:

@RM AtK! You might wanna look into this if you plan on attending any majors....

Im pretty sure we will be able to use a PS4 Controller if the batteries are taken out, which you can do just have to open it up. and as long as you show the Ref there should be no problem. People did it all of the time with PS3 Controllers.

And its SUPER easy.

They haven't allowed it for PS3 ever. They won't start with PS4.

I can almost guarantee that most of you guys would like the Hori FC. The gimmicks included are inconsequential, but the ability to press buttons with fingers other than just the thumb can be very helpful...especially for those quick Brutality inputs forthcoming! Set the D-pad to it's Normal setting, btw!

I am seeing good things about it here in this thread so that is very good. I would like to know if the battery of a ps4 can be taken out to be used at evo or not but I can definitely utilize the hori fc4 if it comes down to that.

I sent an email to SRK about the PS4 Battery being taken out already. I will post the answer once I get a response.

Not sure of battery removal, but as a joystick purist since SF2, I can say that the Hori FC has been my go-to controller when I don't feel like dragging out my monstrous PDP MK sticks (modded, of course). And...speaking of PDP...there's always the chance that their MK fightpad WON'T be crap...but history says go with the Hori FC, and I'm not 100% that the PDP pad is wired anyway!

By normal setting what do you mean? I havent gotten mine yet. Can you elaborate on the settings?

The diagonal sensitivity has 3 settings. I've found the default "normal setting" to be the most accurate for mk/ injustice. Sorry but I don't play any other games, so this applies only to those two NRS games. All the other bells/ whistles are gimmickly I feel, except for the 10% angle that I spin my Dpad, but that's a "feel" thing for me, and not really that necessary. Also, keep in mind that some users (not me) have complained of breaking controllers easily. I know nothing of this personally, but I don't throw or drop or even squeeze my controllers, and I certainly do not mash buttons! Four months(?) in and me and my FC are good!

Nice. Looks like I made a good call in buying one

It has nothing to do with throwing the controller, it's how the dpad is built, the controller should last a while if you only play NRS games, but I'd advise against buying this pad if you plan on playing other fighting games, especially those that have special moves that require circular motion inputs. (KOF, GG)

Only problem I had with the dpad when playing MK9 was when I did a lot of jump kicks + teleport punches with Ermac, it started acting funny afterwards.

Does Mr Wizard have an account on TYM? Perhaps he should be tagged in this thread and he can answer our question regarding this as it's a big deal being a brand new game with no real rules officially established.
