Jacqui must be short for Jacqueline, like Cassie is most likely short for Cassandra.Surprised nobody caught the MK Conquest nod with Jarek and TASIA. She was one of the main good guys in Conquest(formally bad though at first) I wonder if she'll be a new character but not playable? Who knows, or just canon fodder which means someone will kill her at some point.
Anyway, Erron Black looks cool but he's done nothing but stand around and get shocked lol.

I think Sonya is in belief that Kotal used that stone portal thing to snatch Cassie into the Outworld. Cassie took that pic as the last thing she saw (Erron Black through the portal) so she could leave it as a clue for Mommy come find her.
