Just started watching again after years (and not really seeing many). Watched HOTD, which I liked and would love season two. Currently watching Death Note, which is really good, and To Loveru, which is usually hilariously stupid.

Things I'm feeling this season in order of most to least

Yoru no Yatterman
Rolling Girls
Yuri Kuma Arashi *Could potentially become my favorite, Ikuhara is the god*
Junketsu no Maria
Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Love!

I'm so tore up over how lame Sailor Moon Crystal ended up being, really awful animation & they've switched up alot of the character motivations to have it based around love of a man than the friendship between the girls & their determination

Finished Death Note (finally). Overall I thought it was really good but it bugged me how lucky Light got sometimes. Ya he planned things but lots of ways for those plans to go wrong. Also introducing characters just to die got old in the first half. After episode 25 it lost something too, still fun to watch but felt like they weren't quite sure where they were going to go with the plot.

Watched IS, was ok. They forget to keep the plot going at times.

Now watching Absolute Duo, almost caught up to the latest. I think its good so far, seems like something dark going on in the background. Love the psycho homeroom teacher too, way over the top whether she's good of evil.

Anyone else watching Assassination Classroom? What do you think of it so far? I'm currently caught up on the dub version, but am tempted to just watch the sub version which is already at 11 episodes instead of the dub's 6.

Not yet but I will check it out when some good 1080p rips come out. Seven deadly sins has been pretty good also that and jojo are my fav right now.

I have to check into both of those anime as well. I can only take one series at a time though due to time constraints lol.
Yeah so many I want to watch but time is a bitch, Jojo is great though highly recommended. Arslan Senki is starting on the 4th it was my favorite anime when I was a kid I can't wait should def check that out if you have the time.

I'm curious, do you usually prefer dubs? If so, why?

Also, just finished Unbreakable Machine Doll. Yaya cracked me up. Can't stop listening to the closing theme either, lol.

I actually have no preference. I watched the entirety of Ghost in the Shell subbed, Elfen Lied, and plenty of other anime. It just depends on my mood if I'm willing to listen to Japanese that day. I know some, but not enough to be coherent lol. And when I start an anime in one language, I usually stick with that language until the series end. Ex. For DBZ, I watched it as a kid in English, so the entirety of DBZ I watch dubbed, save for the recent Battle of Z Movie, which was actually pretty good. Unbreakable Machine Doll? lol, another anime to add to my list

That's cool, I was just curious. I prefer subbed myself, I like how Japanese sounds and it seems like the voice acting is better than the English speakers. Sometimes even if they say the exact same thing as the subtitle it sounds sillier hearing it in English than reading it, don't know why, lol. I don't know any Japanese either, would like to learn it someday though. The first animes I saw as a kid were subtitled so maybe that has something to do with it.

I liked Machine Doll, its a comedy / action and just fun to watch. I'll probably pick up the BD because it has six OVAs which aren't on Hulu. I'll have to checkout AC. I have a hard time picking out some animes to watch b/c I want ones which aren't really for kids (Family Guy, not GI Joe, if that makes sense). If something is tagged as ecchi its pretty clear, but if not I'm never sure.

Elfen Lied was really good, I watched that a few weeks ago. Actually was kinda disturbed by how easily Lucy could blow people up. Nyu was adorable though. So how is Ghost in the Shell? Heard good things about it.

Cool! Ghost in the Shell is an amazing anime, but it requires you to think about what's happening the entire way, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're stressed out or just want something silly haha. Yeah, some of the more mature anime are harder to find. Try to delve into the psychological animes or somber ones like Clannad.
