Evidence for Onaga in MKX and final boss speculation

I hope they don't go the same route as MK4 with Shinnok being the boss or bringing back that generic dragon creature. I hope they create another stroy or at least one before Shinnok being a boss. I think it would be very cool if they developed other realms, interactions between them etc. Netherealm war seems very promising in this sense. Oh yeah, if they bring back an enraged Liu Kang as final boss I'm down for it.

Good stuff here. Im also thinking he's involved. I think onaga could be the demon in the comics. He's talking to people in their heads and making them do his work similar to Damashi in deception.

See I disagree cause Shujinko's adventure started before MK1 so even though the time line changed he still should be working for "Damashi"

I had toyed with this idea, but something doesn't fit.
Firstly, the "blood code". Onaga never spoke of a blood code and one never had anything to do with him as far as I'm aware.
Secondly, the whole face slicing thing seems like something more to do with the Chaos realm.
Lastly, I don't remember Damashi/Onaga ever being able to possess people like this demon can.

I think the demon will have some sort of connection to the resurrection of Onaga, but I do not think it is Onaga himself.

Alone is where to find me.
It could well be Onaga. Maybe Shinnok is the main villain for most of the story but then he falls out with Quan, who resurrects Onaga, or something along those lines. Boon did say the boss will be a returning character so it's definitely not out of the question. But right now we have a lot of missing pieces - the remaining cast and in particular the remaining new characters. At the moment the final boss is anybody's guess.

Considering in the comic, the dagger has everything to do with blood... it's probably kotal khan possessing people. It's probably the beginning to his rise to power. But who knows really.

The Kamidogu is an awesome concept. :) I look forward to see how perhaps the newer kamidogu's and perhaps older ones from Deception play into MK X.

Quan Chi is a necromancer, i mean, he raises the dead all the time, he has been doing this even before Onaga steps into play, that on his chest doesn't look exactly like the Dragon King's Skull either, so i don't know.

We used to be proven wrong many times, due that some speculations being the obvious ones, anyway, i'm not saying that is not Onaga, i just hope it isn't.

Do you not find him activating that skull in his chest during his win pose to raise that dead army suspicious though? Surely it has some significance.
I also think Onaga is a great opportunity for their redesign. They're giving everyone a simplified, grittier design. I think they'll see the potential to make Onaga a badass compared to his old design.

no. that is not Onagas army no.
remember in Mortal Kombat Armageddon Intro?

That wasnt Onagas army either, he can do things like that...
Fair enough, but this time around you can clearly see him activating the skull, it has to have some relevance. Also, in the army he raises this time they're wearing armour and helmets, which lead me to Onagas army, they could be a fallen army from the netherrealm war, but that doesn't explain the skull.
(never played armageddon as I think I had a 360 when that was released and it wasn't backward compatible)

Sounds possible, though.. Wouldn't Onaga's skull on his chest make him less likely rather than more likely to be the final boss?

And Shujinko would be fine if he had an actual move set.
