I paid my "Dews" by playing a mid tier shitter named Lord Raiden then switching to cage while not being able to play footsies. At some point I developed a very small amount of footsies and got 5th at the only major that counts, KIT. Once I can attain a M2Dave level of footsies I could possibly get third with cage but in order to get first I'll need either Kabal, or to play street fighter for a decade first. And maybe ONE DAY i'll understand the MK9 counter poke meta as well as european smoke players do. That is a LONG SHOT though I do realize.

I feel that @SonicFox5000 paid his dues early in Injustice. He started with Harley and Catwoman, then found his niche with Batgirl. After getting his Yolo Teleports punished in several Top 8's, he calmed down, upped his game, and became the dominant player we know today.

I believe both of us paid our dews by using scorpion in tournament haha. Also at GGA u had to deal with a top cage, smoke, kitana, and etc. So yep Dews paid.

I don't understand. So if you used a shitter character you paid your dues. What if you played top tier but didn't place? Did you pay your dues or do you just suck? What if you used a shitter and you placed top 8 all the time? Do you owe the bank then? This concept seems flawed.
