Same as XY really. Hit the "play online with others" box on your bottom screen, hit the blue "connect to the internet" and hit my player icon to request a trade (if I don't request one with you first)

Is there any way of obtaining items through hacks, there used to be a GTS tool that I used for B/W, not sure if there's something like that for oras.

That Greninja suspect is stupid as fuck, and honestly shows how silly Smogon's banning mentality has become. People forget that humans play Pokemon and RNG exist.

People push Gunk Shot as too much...the move is still risky as fuck. People seem to ignore the reality that accuracy is a big reason why certain high-BP moves are dangerous as hell to use. Yeah, if you hit, it's golden. But you miss, you just lost Greninja right then and there likely because it's so frail. And these people are placing too much emphasis on robots playing with no hax. You aren't always predicting switches properly as the Greninja user. 4MSS is not a big factor since Greninja is a great thing to stick in where you need to fill the weakness gaps, but it's not like it kills everything. It's still running off of 103 SpA. In order to ensure you do something meaningful on the chance that you do not predict right with that, you need to go Life Orb, which further hinders its durability. And because it won't ever run Scarf, it has problems with priority, scarfers, and faster Megas.

This is why I hate playing singles on PS now. Because of Smogon's banning shit.

Honestly at first I agreed with this mentality, but I have to say I might've been convinced. Firstly, that 103 base Sp. Atk is pretty deceptive due to the fact it almost always runs life orb and has protean. 1.3 and 1.5 boosts on all moves make his sp. Atk sky rocket. There is also a difference between 4mss and just having a gigantic movepool. With any given set greninja can take care of just about the entire meta on his own. Given his tutor moves he lost almost all of his checks and counters. They still exist with every given set, but by the time you actually fogure out what is ok to throw out you could possibly have lost half of your team. Missing for greninja isn't a huge deal either. Most times when Greninja is hitting a mon with something he is hitting them Super effective, so if he happens to miss more times than not he resists the hit. Also, making a wrong prediction isn't a trait of Greninja but simply a player. I honestly am super upset about the suspect and will probably end up just miving over to pokemon online if greninja gets banned because i freaking love the thing and my team isnt the same without him. (Oh shit he is already banned on Pokemon Online) However, I can't say I don't understand why they did it either though. Pokebattle seems to be the place to go if you guys are tired of bans, I'm going to try it out. Instead of bans they just place point values on pokemon. All teams cant exceed over 1000 points, sounds pretty fun to me.

Yeah, I'm thinking about it more and I didn't know Protean had it's own power boost. That's absurd. He likely deserves it and that's crazy, because it makes him the second starter to be banned to Ubers.

I wouldn't be surprised if Greninja rose to fame just because there was a certain mon that was banned.

Oh it isn't a power boost that it gives, it's just with every move you use becoming stab it essentially is like getting a 1.5 Sp. Atk boost is what I meant.

That shit is a lie. You just have to hack them correctly or they won't go through. They will just stay in your game. I was scared at first too doe. I though GF was going to go on a manhunt for me haha

My appreciation for STAB recently has really increased. There has been so many times where an extra little boost from STAB would have got me the kill. Which along with this suspect test has got be thinking of trying out Frogadier in RU as my sweeper. But for a long time I neglected it because it couldn't get itself to at least +2 in 1 turn and its speed was just a little too slow. I can't believe how long this took me, but I just recently thought of smash pass Frogadier. And after running some calcs being at +2 speed you outspeed everything in the tier and being at +2 +2, you can OHKO every common set in the tier after SR. Granted those calcs where done with more than 4 moves, but just like greninja there is a set that can take care of every mon in its tier. Although I haven't implemented this set yet, just based on this theory crafting I can definitely see why greninja is being suspect tested. Also every fully evolved mon with adaptability got banned from its respective tier except porygon z I think and imo protean > adaptability.

Yeah, I did some research to see how strict it was and I even transferred my "hacked" Houndoom through from White. All I really wanted was to get it on my team again.

Edit: I've spent a few hours now soft resetting trying to get shiny Reshiram, to no avail ;_;
