It's Lonely At the Bottom 2: Budokai - SoCal IGAU Tournament Results

For the second week in a row, 12 of SoCal's strongest gathered to power up for 3 episodes, turn Super Saiyan (not to be confused with Suppa Sapien), and do battle for the fate of Namek (Timett's House).

Last week's champion @ARMOR fought to defend his title from other dangerous names such as @MF SLAYER and @RM Nubcakes. While a few of last week's entrants couldn't make it, others such as @RDK|Tyrant , @Krayzie , and @GuamoKun were there to take their place.

A bonus prize of either Guilty Gear Xrd or a MKX preorder was added to the pot by @Son ov Timett, making everyone fight for the top spot even harder.

Highlights:
  • Slayer used almost entirely Aquaman this week. New main?
  • Guamo had a strong showing with Zatanna and Nightwing, two less commonly seen characters.
  • Satsui continues his 4th place curse.
  • Everyone's favorite, Tyrant, makes his first appearance at a SoCal local tournament in a while.
  • Project M casuals (friendlies?) made an appearance on stream before the IGAU tournament.
  • Slayer uses the term "Raw Tech or Booty Sweat" about ten thousand times.
  • Airvidal does the hypest Spanish commentary that I have ever heard (3rd round of Legend vs Timett)
  • We only had one Aquaman mirror the whole tournament. I'm so proud of SoCal.

One omission that should be touched upon. Slayer magnanimously offered his grand prize to Sir Chefry Willis, to make his wish of playing Guilty Gear XRD come true.

True Christmas spirit being exhibited. May I say that the bottom, no longer feels lonely. :)
