AM, Zod, SM, DD are the characters i play the most then, I don't have a "Main".
What does my main have to do with WW's corner game?
The fact that you play characters that also have a great corner game, if not better, like Superman and Doomsday for example. So no we do not need Axel Redd, the representatives of our character can't even place! Your character(s) place regularly so you should be getting something back as repayment for your characters' stupidity :p

I thought you were going to say something useful lol.
I hope Axel_Redd never leaves the WoWo forums.
Every time I beat him with one of my stupid characters I hope he posts here asking questions
about the match up.

Guys, what are your thoughts on the Batman match-up?

I don't play WoWo, I play Batman.

I don't even know what to do, anymore. I can't keep her out with zoning. Up close she completely wrecks me, partially because her pressure is ridiculous and partially because all of my god damn strings whiff on her stupid, stupid hitbox. Even releasing trait after a string can whiff on her if she's crouching. Once she has me in the corner its peace out.

Like...every knock-down she gets is a guessing game for Batman. Even if I hit her with my shit, shit, shitty slide, I'm at -10.

What am I even supposed to do against this character?

It's only 6-4, you just have to be patient and use trait well.

Keep in mind her only lows are her d3 and standing 3 so you can parry pretty much everything else if you're making the right reads. In fact, you can parry in between the 33 string so you can make her guess if you're going to parry it or not. If you start conditioning her to not do the second 3 in the string and make her use 3~mb tiara or 3 into nothing then that helps you slightly because it's one less thing you have to deal with, and she doesn't get her free plus frames off of 33 and you can either start applying your own pressure or you can punish her or you can backdash away from her.

Your zoning works to an extent, you just can't send out bats ('rangs or trait) from so far out because we'll down 3 under them on reaction. But you can always MB the batarangs to stop us from d3'ing under them so much. You need to play it laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame. Zone her out as much as you can, and keep your trait, until she gets in a close enough range. Only then would you start thinking about using trait really. Your trait is keeping us from applying all the pressure we like, it's the only thing scaring us since our jump attacks/air dash is most likely better than your anti-air and our b2 is godlike for range. Keep your trait out as much as possible and only use it to get us off of you or to punish us or to apply your own pressure (although they have very little blockstun).

If a WW player is abusing d3 against Batman, instant air sparkles will beat it on a read. It actually works well in the match-up. Nothing game-changing or anything but a useful counter to a specific move, since if the opponent respects it, then you can change things up. But yeah, I agree, her low hitbox makes close-quarters extremely annoying for Batman since everything whiffs and if the player is on point, she can punish everything with decent damage + oki.

I found that keeping bats on is important for this match-up as they're often a waste if you're pressuring her since a single bat will whiff if she's crouching from certain distances. That's not to say that you should never release them (since that would be retarded), but I definitely wouldn't use them mindlessly in pressure or just release them to zone. I think zoning with batarangs/MB batarangs while keeping bats to cover for any potential jump ins, dash ins, etc... The threat of the bats is often enough to stop players from doing certain things (they're Batman's main viable defensive tool).

I'm not sure how reliable using parry is vs. 3,3. I've went in to try and practice it, but it doesn't feel like something you can do everytime.

How big is the 3,3 gap?

Also, as far as zoning her goes, can't she use instant-air Demigoddess and get in that way? I really don't see how she can be purely zoned. Plus, she has tiara which has some pretty great spacing and can get rid of my bats.

Up close, isn't her b1 +4? That would give her a free d1, at least. So, in theory, couldn't she use the conditioning of d1 to do b2, 3,3, another b1, or anything else she wants? I feel like my only real option is to parry or backdash. Parry gets blown up by the sweep and the low, and backdashing gets blown up by b2.

It's just a timing thing, it's probably easier to backdash though. The gap probably isn't that big, I don't think 4 frame parries can parry it.

Against b1, you can standing 1 in between her 50/50 options. So she has to give up her 50/50 mix up to beat you.

I think back dashing is a better option to parry against her.

I think batarangs will catch her out of iadg, otherwise she'll go over you and you can punish her.
Her tiara is alright for getting rid of bats but as I said from that distance you pretty much just want to keep her scared of trait bats so you don't have much to do but block. If she throws tiara then you can release bats to stop her from getting her own pressure going, and even if she mbs it she doesn't get much from full distance.

B1 is +4, but it doesn't guarantee a free d1 against Batman. You have a 1 frame parry, so you can parry her d1. In fact out of all her options after a blocked b1 you can parry most of them.
And when you backdash b2 her best options are only really b2~lasso and b23.

I think backdashing may be my best bet. I've known that I can use standing 1 for awhile, but if she does a d1, even though my my standing 1 comes out first, her d1 goes under me and she gets the d12 xx MB tiara, etc, etc nonsense.

I'm starting to think my best option may be just to backdash or use pushblock. I'm really emo about this.

Uh your standing 1 shouldn't come out before her d1 after a blocked b1...but yeah she doesn't even have to use meter off of a d1, she can do d1~spin :p but that's not confirmable. Backdash or pushblock could be best, but your parry does come in useful.
