It emulates resetting the cabinet, not the connection or MAME program.
what i'm saying is if desyncs are not very frequent u don't need to go through all steps of hosting the game from the start, u don't have to have an emulator with a rollback feature either, simply loading a save state or resetting the game works like a charm

Resetting the game after a desync almost never works, I'm talking about p2p. Since they aren't very frequent, restarting MAME is not an issue anyway.
 
Hey. Hope this isn't considered spam since I've not played the game to provide feedback however I just wanted to say I'm excited that you guys put all the effort in to make this happen. I stumbled into TYM based on a neogaf thread and a curiosity at what had become of the scene since UMK3 on live was killed. I thought we had a great little communiy way back when and had quite a lot of fun on ultimatemk.com. So hi to all the old familiar faces and let me know if there's anything I can do to help out.

-Spear characters: Scorpion, H.Smoke and R.Smoke - after successfully landing a spear, the stun animation is disabled if you jump. The disabling is similar, in the way it works, to a freeze, ground freeze (Sub) and net (Cyrax) without the stun being disabled when they leave the ground, and these three characters should be able to leave the ground as well without losing the stun after a spear.
This needs to happen honestly.

The hacker is taking some time off now that the beta is out, but there are many more changes and updates in the future.

A few things from me, that might be good for discussing:
  1. Is the corner shit now? Is there any reason not to play at midscreen?
  2. Do CSub, Sheeva, and various others need damage nerfs?
  3. Should attacks that look low (Kang's low FB, Mil's roll, etc), hit low? Should attacks that don't look low, hit not low (*cough*leggrab*cough*)?
  4. Should Robo's invis be the same length as Hsmo and Rep's? (I think yes, but hey, I'm a scrub)
  5. Should the TPU juggle an airbourne opponent on the same side as a preceding aa, or the opposite side?
  6. Do you think that Hsmo and Scorp will ever be on the same level without completely redoing the "vanilla" play style of one of them? (My personal opinion)
  7. Can we please change the input of Sektor's 5 hit to HP,HP,HK,HK,F+HK and keep the 4 hit at HP,HP,HK,B+HK?
  8. When's Mahvel?

I am a quasi-serious when I say that's part of the reason I've kept my mouth shut for a lot of this besides bug reporting.
I'm not old school and I haven't played the game "long enough" to have any valuable input, in the opinions of some, that have been expressed through public posts and private messages, so I'm staying mum.

But I do agree the corner has to be fixed. There is no incentive on putting the opponent there now

Go to 13:20, my uSub vs REO's Kung Lao. (starts more at 13:36 though)


The corner is not as deadly because you can't corner jab infinite. But it's still dangerous, but it's more for the reasons of traditional fighters. Being cornered limits your options and mobility, and limiting what your opponent can do is always something you should be trying to do.

And thank you for being so helpful. That's not AT ALL the kind of response I would expect out of a moderator on a site like this. "If you want to know why it is a no you must explain why you think it is a yes". Seriously? The guy is just asking a few questions, and you can't be bothered to take the time to give an educated explanation of your opinion

You're missing the point entirely.

The questions he asked were seemingly trivial, aside from the one I did "explain", which neither of you commented on by the way. But regardless, he didn't say why he thinks they "should". My response is "no", the response to that is "why shouldn't it?", so my response is "why should it?".

In regards to lows - Kabal's saw, and Rep/The Subs' slides got changed to lows, why not other moves?

In regards to Invisibility - I think the current length of Robot's Invis is still too long. @Konqrr said that this was because Robot was a less-active character than H.Smo and Rep, yet I'm not too sure how I feel about that statement.

In regards to the TPU- It matters because it provides certain advantages/disadvantages depending on which side of the screen you're on.
If you're going to ask "Should this be this" and not explain why you think it should, then don't expect an explanation from someone who thinks it shouldn't.
TBH, I was asking because I was interested in the views of other players. Wasn't really fishing for "This scrub knows jack-shit" responses. (My apologies if it wasn't intended in that way, just came across like that, what with there being no tone in text and all that.)
