Another IMDB cast update for MKX

Spletty

Grandmaster
Keifer Sutherland was on their until Ed Boon confirmed he was not in the game. There is no reason to believe anything on there atm
not sure if its what he meant, but the original guy misspelled his name. boon replied saying he wasn't in the game, using the misspelled name. hope he's in, i think boon was being clever but you never know.

Rip Torn

ALL I HAVE IS THE GREEN.

Basically, Kiefer said he worked on "Mortal Kombat" because he is an old man that knows nothing about video games and thinks that Call of Duty = Mortal Kombat. After that, Ed said he did NOT work on the game but nobody will believe him because of his troll status on twitter. If you pay attention, you will see that Ed doesn't really troll about stuff like that.

You can't argue imdb is inaccurate because Kiefer was listed. I mean, the man said it himself that he worked in MKX, that's suppose to be an accurate source. And his listed role was simply "voice", which means they only included him because he said he worked in MKX.

Now with the new actors listed it's completely different. We have no idea of imdb's source (or whoever user edited the page).

Its been said over and over.... Anybody can edit that site.
You've got to make a submission and it must be approved by the IMDB staff. That's like saying Wikipedia isn't accurate because anyone can edit it. Putting up false info doesn't seem like it would be allowed to fly too often. Can anyone cite instances where IMDB flat out lies about actors/characters being in a release?

Scott Adkins as Smoke

Scott Adkins as Smoke
In MK Devastation? That's the only bit of info I can see for him playing Smoke--and that movie was never made. So it's not a good example.

If you're talking about in MK9, Smoke was in the game and Scott Adkins doesn't do voice acting really... so again, not a good example.

But Scott Adkins was never casted as Smoke
He was supposed to play Smoke in the MOVIE that was never made. But Smoke was DEFINITELY in the GAME that was made. No one is arguing that voice actor info can't be incomplete or change, simply that it's unlikely for a voice actor to be listed for a character who isn't even in the game. Do you see my point?

But, Scott Adkins name was added right after the fight choreographer said he was interested in having him in the movie on twitter, it was more like a wishlist than a confirmation, Adkins who is very fan friendly, never mentioned anything about being in Mortal Kombat. Plus, I remember seeing Iko Uwais' name on there at one point, the guy was working on the Raid 2.

You're missing my logic completely. That movie was never made. It doesn't matter.

What I'm saying is that anyone can edit a page as long as you're registered, information is reviewed by IMDB first, but false info gets added often.
