OBS KN REO wins Mortal Kombat 9 at Birthright!

Today, the prologue to Season 2 of @RapZiLLa54's Monster Island tournament series receives its first conclusion as OBS KN REO wins Mortal Kombat 9's Grand Finals against KN @Mikemetroid! The Winner's Finals that came before it treated the crowd to an intensely epic battle between brawler Johnny Cage and blind swordsman Kenshi, and their rematch in Grand Finals was hardly a disappointment. Many players, new and old alike, had the honor of starting Season 2 off with a bang, and we can't wait to relive the results with you guys!

This tournament was packed with numerous eye-openers, including...

A) Claude Von Stroke's near-successful attempt at stealing the set from @R.E.O.

B) Cossner winning his second match against @Scoot Magee with just 1% health in a Reptile mirror!

C) Tournament newcomer @_yobish33 keeping it competitive against his opponents with Sonya Blade!

D) Winner's Finals between REO and Mikemetroid, including a rare appearance from everybody's favorite cop - Stryker!

Among many others that I could spend all day listing in this article, but let's cut right to the heart of the matter (literally). Congratulations to R.E.O. for reversing the tides with Kenshi to win it all, with a fatality served as the cherry on top!

This was the most I've enjoyed an MK tourney in a long time. Good job to the competitors and a big thanks to the organizers and streamers.

When it comes to @R.E.O., tournaments been like:

I had fun, but DAMN I know I would've done so much better if it werent for technical issues. Next time, I'll be equipped... might build my own hitbox now. But a special shout out to @Cossner @Mikemetroid @firewall and @R.E.O. for awesome sets and guidance in my first tourny
