What about wing evading through the gaps in Catwoman's strings? It feels like that's a very important part of Hawkgirl's game that is rather slept on. After seeing Trepound do some crazy stuff to get his top 8 I'm leaning towards there's a lotta stuff most HG players aren't capitalizing on.It's a close match, probably 5-5. Jump 2 is very good for knocking her out of the sky, yeah. Catwoman doesn't have to advance as far through her zoning as others to put HG at risk. B+3 beats all her wakeup options. Mace Charge and Wing Evade run out of invincibility on their way back and b+3 will hit out both. In the corner b+2 will beat both and serve as an OH option. Full screen maces are annoying but like I said, CW doesn't have to close the gap as badly because of jump 2. A couple of dashes after maces and you're in range to make HG guess. Plus she has MB Cat Dash to beat ground mace or to close the gap. PPJ has some good setups to stuff CW wakeup but it's not like HG has godlike vortexes in the MU if CW doesn't have scratches. I actually think the unsung advantages for HG in the mu are her footsies tools. d+1 and d+2 are really good against Catwoman. d+1 competes with CW on the ground and d+2 works well against CW jump ins. If HG did bigger damage(outside the corner) and had a better wakeup she'd probably beat Catwoman. But she doesn't.
I'm sure everyone 'knew' I was wrong when I said Killer Frost was mid-tier over a year ago. I haven't actually read much of what Ra Helios has been saying but him being a step ahead of the community is a possibility
I'm not even talking about the cw tier argument specifically. I'm talking about the online bs he spews and his inability to make a coherent argument and his general lack of understanding how things work.
