Your Injustice opinions that don't change

Rude

You will serve me in The Netherrealm
So, i see a lot of people hating intetactables and i totally get why. There has been an option since day one to turn them off. If the hate is this justifiably bad, why did we, as a community, never agree to ban them? I'm really asking. it isn't as though fgcs banning stuff in their games is without precedent.

Because interactables vs background bounce. One of those options is great, the other not so much. If you turn one off, you turn both off.

You have a green lantern avatar. If your walk speed was any faster you would be broken. You are wrong on this one.
Lantern's space control is ridiculous and I understand why his movement options are limited.

But there aren't real footsies in this game like there are in Street Fighter. Once you get the life lead you can essentially down back, or walk away and they can't do much. They have to dash in (which is unsafe), or jump (unsafe). So essentially they are putting themself at risk no matter what they do except when they walk. The walkspeed is so atrocious (combined with huge stages) it's nearly impossible to walk someone down.

There are some footsies, but the walk speed is a huge problem which makes the game a lot worse fundamentally.

GL's walkspeed is "fast" in a game where walkspeeds already aren't fast. GL's walkspeed would be considered average or even below average in other games.

He would not be broken, given that his space control isn't really enough to even put him into the top 10.

His acceleration is the killer. I've said this before, but if you're trying to play a spacing game (or making it through zoning), taking 3 seconds to get up to speed when you're changing directions or going from crouch/block to walk is a mofo.

Even if the acceleration is normal, it's still not at an ideal speed for footsies.

They love my Grayson
IGAU > MK9
Nightwing is top 10
Nightwing character design should be more air based like Sadira from KI
IGAU is one of the most balanced fighting games out there.
IGAU 2 will be godlike

DC Superheroes and Villains RULE.

Guess we will have to disagree my friend.

Lex is pretty good. I think he's a much better character than I am a player, but people just think I'm downplaying myself when I'm really not lol. It's just a character that matches me well, and might carry me better than he carries most players by his style but he doesn't cover all my weak points. While the character has weaknesses (there's no one who would be able to make the Zod or Sinestro mu's any better because of the fundamental issues) I can point out the faults in myself as a player where a stronger player could have a lot of success with him. If there was a truly great Lex main out there there's a strong chance he could've won a major by now.

Also general things:
- Arrow and Scorpion are irredeemably bad
- Joker is an underdeveloped solid mid-tier character
- People still overrate Black Adam

thats why they moan, BECAUSE mk9 has block dashing, which allows more movement options than igau movement
It's not even that Injustice needs block dashing. It just needed faster walking. Having non-cancellable dashes is fine, so long as the walkspeed is up there too.

Judging from the apparent frame data we got on them, the dash speeds are actually not that bad. They're actually better than something like SFIV's dashes by a good bit. And they cover a shit ton of distance. Just we have to commit to really advance or retreat at a respectable speed. If walkspeeds were faster, that wouldn't be as big of a deal.

Escrima Stance does not exist.
Interactables do not exist.
No breakers suck.
No block button sucks.
Lack of MK footsies sucks.
No ice clone sucks.

That about sums it up.

I'll be honest, i prefer no block button, it allows me to play much more reactionarily.... the tradeoff of ambiguous crossups and the scorpion bs kind o irked me though.

If i made my own fighting game it would definetly be black to block

If you do, please come up with something that would allow to stand ground while blocking high, unless you specifically want defensive behaviour to create space :p

There's also down vs down-back to block low dilemma...

Interestingly enough, I found b2b to be more natural (for the lack of better word) for me. It takes me some time to adapt to block button again every time I go back to MK or even stuff like Abyss Odyssey (which is technically isn't FG, but has some similar mech). Probably has something to do with instinctive attempt to move away from threat.

I'm also not sure what was the problem with Scorpion unless we are talking about some ambiguous j3 or whatever (I wasn't very familiar with IGAU pre-patch).

And it looks stupid. Block dashing . eurgh. The movement in mk9 is just people hovering outside d4 d3 range and doing jumpin punches. Eurgh.

you just described footsies. is IGAU your first fighter?
Nope. Just not a fan of the block button. Not looking forward to go back toit.

Also some characters in mk9 had dumb options that I don't even consider footsies. Cages forward 3. Cage players can throw themselves of a building.

I've already said in many threads that the "stance switch" button, could be used to hold your character in space, to cancel dashes(thought i kind of like dashes be raw), and to alter special moves in a way that doesn't cost meter(i.e. trajectory, or a slower version/altered version)... and to combine with other inputs to do something special.

But man, that means the button would do something useful

Hate back to block.

Don't like having to crouch to block in place.

Don't like the auto block it creates when walking backwards

Don't like the ambiguous crossups that come with it.

It should be on the offensive player to open the defender up by mixing his strings and approach up... not b/c lol lol have a 50/50.
