I'm still not 100% on raiden. His teleport is punishable, he's slow, one of his move is interruptible like in mk9, those teleport combos looks like a pain to do offline so imagine online, and he is slow. I don't know, I guess I gotta try him myself

then 12 months after that the community will understand what was being said in the first place. I should be some kind of D'Vorah forum mod to stop the spread of misinformation that the crossing over delusional killer frost players are likely to be posting before it starts

Hopefully they'll just give us more input buffer on specials this time around. I play KI and there appears to be a generous amount of input buffer on special moves and command normals- it really helps the controls feel smooth and responsive even when there's a lag spike. MKX should do the same.

Looks like one of his strings that ends in the high roundhouse kick can be ducked and full comboed.

Raiden looks like he recovers quickly from a blocked torpedo.
It's still very punishable. He doesn't stay in the air as long as before, but even in mk9 you had to wait the time he touch the ground to full punish him with max damages.

I don't see why they can't give Raiden a basic teleport (d,u; teleports behind opponent) in every version, then just save all his range-specific and delayed teleports for Displacer. Seems obvious to me.
Because making the same character over and over is Capcom's bag, not NRS.

That raiden low overhead after the tele looks nice, but it seems like it has a huge gap between the two hits, plz dont tell me people can armor through that shit like mk9 lol
Well Raiden had plenty of gaps in MK9. They are not as bad as they seem at first. They add some mind games especially with Raiden. The games become,

a) will he complete his string with gaps
b) will he teleport during the gap and punish me trying to armor through the gap.
c) will he do a tick throw at the gap
d) if MKX has something like armored bounce cancels from injustice Raiden could do the string with a gap and then bounce cancel instead and armor through opponents armor.

The thing that will suck for Raiden is if option selects are found that beat both the gap in the string and the teleport option. If your opponent is option selecting all your gaps, then unfortunately you will have to stick with gapless strings. But he still might get tick throw to beat that. Hopefully they give Raiden some good ones. His 1,2,1,2 string in 9 was pretty good I thought.
