Which games have the best fatalities??

Which games have had the best fatalities??? I kind of lumped them into generations...

Personally i find the mk2/mk3 generation is far superior to the modern fatalities. So far in Mk X i have just seen kind of insane violence... the "campyness" and humor in the older games is far more appealing to me. To me the best part of finishers is the randomness and creativity... not really the brutishness or realism.

The MKX fatalities aren't lacking in creativity in the slightest.

But I prefer the more modern fatalities.

Sometimes I wonder if such threads are urgent enough to require three question marks/me being douche. But even though I hate Kung Lao with a fiery passion, his fatality from mk9 where he uses his wacky hat as a bansaw is my favorite fatality ever, because to this day it makes me cringe with unfathomable discomfort.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that dislikes multiple question marks.

Modern tbh, it's not like they've lost their sense of humour, even the buzz saw (KL), wish bone (NS) and field goal (Jax) are funny in their own right.

Their other fatalities (in the same game) are more serious though IMO.

Kinda torn.

The new ones are obviously better looking, but they drag on a bit too long and are annoying when someone wants to do them between every exhibition match.

The new fatalities for example, you could separate Scorpions single MKX fatality into TWO different ones- cut the time in half and still have the all the brutality: one where he blasts a whole through your chest under your heart, and another where he cuts your face off. Instead they lopped it all into one that looks cool, but goes on for a bit too long.

MK1 snes version are the best (except for Kano), then mk2 and some of mk3. "Shorter fatalities with less gore and some jokes on it" for the win.

My 2 faves of all time. For now... I really love Scorpion's in MKX, and a lot of MKX fatalities. MK9 and MK2 had some of the best.

I got to go with, old school MK3 where Sub-Zero picks up his opponent over his head freezes and crushes him. and scorpions the gathering fatality.

Definitely not MK9. I remember seeing the same body dismemberment at the same position in numerous fatalities.
