What was the most exciting tournament match you ever played?

MLG Columbus versus M2dave. If I could beat him I'd make day two and the top 16. I had literally never fought a competent Freddy player in my life at that point. I took game 1 by jumping like an idiot then CDjr came up and had a talk with Dave. Dave then blew me up 3 games straight.

3 that I can recall.

ECT 2 vs @Shock umk3. I had Shock down 1-0 against the terror we call his Ermac. I had him on DANGER and he gets a lift in the corner and drops a 100%+ on me... Then proceeds to do it again in the 3rd match.

ECT 2 vs LI Joe, the ONLY time I've ever beaten Joe in tournament.

Lasty, NEC 2010 vs DC Hustle. I lost but it was an amazing set that I thought I had zero chance to even compete.

for me it was my match vs Jupiter starts at 10:00 in this video.

my real master comeback against oxygen at TFC was also tight AF. 6:55:00 was the start of my match, it was the first game that i got the comeback on.

honestly has there been a bigger comeback though in tournament? i was down more that 100%, he was still silver health and i only had like 5% health? @FOREVER KING
My money match vs Red Reaper at MLG. I think I had 5% health in red bar and he had around 70% in white bar and I came back and stole it :p

Your comeback against Oxygen was amazing, and is definitely one of my favorite Injustice matches.

Myself vs Master D at one of the Console Combats in MK9. Went to the very last round of the last game of the second set. So much back and forth adjustments... :confused:

Insuperable vs @FOREVER KING MLG Raleigh.
The best Kung Lao IMO. Was an absolute honor to play someone with such a long list of accomplishments, and see that carry over into Injustice.

Insuperable vs Riu 48 (Real talk. Dat AA grab read at 7:42)
Went into dat yung 3-7 matchup and got p00pt on. Went into a matchup that I thought was 5-5, and ended up being in Sonya's favor? 0h lawd

Insuperable vs Kevo da Man
The rise to my name in the community.

However, my all-time favorite matches to watch were:

@R.E.O. vs PL EVO 2013

REO vs Pig of the Hut Final Round 2012 (The beginning of REO's dominance)

@Big D vs CD jr Final Round 2012

Most of my favorite tournament matches in Tekken was before the age of streaming or footage of me being lost on VHS tapes. This one though was in Tekken 6. Mr. Naps was widely considered best in the country at the time.

For MK9, I had such a poor performance at 2011 Final Round that I nearly quit the game, and fighting games in general. Unsure if MK9 was a game I could be good at, I went to UFGT8 with the mentality that if it didn't go well, I was done. One of the best Cage players @GGA Dizzy was a huge test to see if my expertise lied only in Namco games.

(start @ 1:40)

Me and Dizzy would later meet in the top 8 in a set that was probably even better than the one above. (start @ 8:20)

Although the commentary doesn't capture it, me and 16 Bit at Frosty Faustings IV had a great set in losers finals. Down 0-2, I somehow guessed right 100% in Scorp's vortex for the next 3 games lol.

At one of the red bank tournaments, I was playing @R.E.O. in the cage kabal matchup. I had little tournament experience and obviously the matchup is not exactly in my favor but I was counting on the fact that I have tons of kabal experience and I could maybe catch him off guard. I probably hit him with at least ten random shadow kicks with a bunch of them right in a row. It ended up in the last round of the first game with him having like a pixel while I had a solid amount of health. I managed to corner him, and everything seemed great. I remember the whole room cheering for me except for @Hitoshura who was screaming "I love you Kabal!". My dad was there, it was crazy. But I clearly didn't have it together because I threw out another shadow kick! Of course he blocked it and the momentum shifted and he annihilated me, taking the round and then the set. It was awesome because it was so well played by him but man was I disappointed.

vs Lulzlou at Civil War V MK9 Rain v Kabal
I have never been apart of a more hype match, and when I watch it I still get goosebumps, my hands shook for like 20 minutes after. He won on a magic pixel battle at the end 2-1. I came back from being down 0-1 and he was up a round, ON ROOFTOP DAY! Just an amazing match and it was great to have it with such a close friend.

The commentary during your match with Riu48 is hilarious. Makes the outcome that much better.

Also, something tells me you and REO are close :DOGE

That second set first Dizzy at UFGT 2012...oh my god. I remember that meter drain glitch you got in that last match when you were sitting on match point. You teared about that on the subsequent KTP. I honestly completely forgot how you approached the Johnny Cage match-up with Scorpion at that tournament. Watching it now, you just got within footsie range and threw out a F4/B2. It's awesome lol. You were guessing right soooo much during that tournament. You also had an insane comeback against Kevo Da Man in one match. And not to turn this into a love-fest but good god your anti cross over D1 was insane.

2012 was really the best year for our community. Seeing your Scorpion, with 16 Bit and Tom on commentary brings back the nostalgia :(

It wasnt tournament but against @GGA HAN I did three back to back F3 in a row that meter drain glitched him while he was trying to do EX slide with reptile and took his whole bar. I dont think that was recorded but it was my favorite MK9 moment ever.

The most fun match but brutal loss in my recent memory is losing to JodyThaGreat in Tekken pools at Evo.

PND OmegaK

Drunk and Orderly
My most recent tournament match vs @PND OmegaK.

Zatanna vs Batbitch, a set we'd frequently run online which was always close but a tricky MU for Zatanna, and I knew that one would be no exception. First to 3, and we just kept going back and forth, I won the first one, he the second, I bodied him the third and he bodied me the 4th. I think we were both in losers so it was our tournament lives and it came down to the last hit. He was in chip territory and I had been guessing pretty well on his teleport, thought I had conditioned him so that he wouldn't do something so stupid as a desperate teleport.

But he did, and if he hadn't I would have won...
This match was hype as fuck. Same with my last match against Dread Knight too, came down to the last read.

GuamoKun

I Break Hearts, Not Combos
The entirety of my EVO set haha. The only one that wasn't recorded was against @Awesomo but I bodied him so whatever ;)

I was a bit turnt so I made a lot of mistakes.

@EGP Wonder_Chef.
I was kinda happy how this is literally the first time I beat him in tournament and overcame the Reptile matchup.

vs. @SonicFox5000
SONIC FOX DIDN'T TAKE MY BAIT OF DUCKING ALL HIS STUFF DAMN YOU FOX 1V1 ME IN TEST YOUR LUCK [jk pls dont] also invisible kombat ftw and dat Sunglasses trick @ 3:01

vs. @daddydab32ho
literally I messed up one combo that could have changed the set. My over confidence in the Kang MU really messed me up ;_; at this point my turntness was going away so yeah ;_;

vs. Pig of the Hut
lol
