Why are the IGAU forums sooooo dead?

Lol, so most people are majorly exaggerating here.

1) Injustice isn't dead. People are still enjoying the tournaments at majors, lots of people are planning to make KiT, etc. There's also been a lot of fun online play lately with RHSundays, etc.

2) This is the natural game cycle on the forums. When a game is first released, there's a huge buildup. At release, tons of discoveries, tech, videos, broken stuff, balance discussion, tier discussion, etc. As time goes on, a lot of tech is found, the balance is more or less sorted out, people play a ton of tournaments.. Eventually people are mostly just playing and there's less to talk about.

For MK9 this was prolonged a bit since we had a full year of MLG and then EVO (which is about the best life-support you can possibly get), but eventually it was the same -- you get occasional tech, a combo video here and there, and sporadic threads about a patch. People get a bit bored and start to talk about random topics.

But keep calm -- it's ok :) Everything will cycle around again. Then when MKX releases, we'll have people yelling at the new posters, complaining that there are too many rubbish threads being made, and getting to know all of our new members. Such is the Circle of Life.

All I know is, I won't drop MKX at all until MK11 comes out. Ppl are going to pull that "this game isn't good" BS and me and DJT just going to ignore and keep playing. Even when IGAU 2 comes out (which I can safely say it will), Vegas will keep playing MKX. I am not going to drop a game I love because our community has a bunch of babies who can't just play a game and support. If we keep going through these "cycles" our community won't grow much tbh. We don't have the numbers capcom games have, so we need to support our games and keep them going strong in tournaments.

Lol, you guys have to travel more though -- you be at home playing MK9 :p

In all seriousness though, as you know I love to see both of you compete and I hope you're able to make it out to more events in MKX.

I don't know about you, but I'll still be trying to find stuff, and I'll still be playing this even when MKX comes out.

#YEEEAAAPPP i feel like the people who say that igau is dead are the peopke who dont play it. I think that if the people who play the game have a mindset like you MIT, we'll be able to keep it alive as well as mkx when it hits this time peeiod where we're getting hype for a new nrs game.

Can I just say that I'm kind of sick of people tearing about Aquaman, Batgirl, Martian Manhunter, and Zod?

For one thing, the community went on and on and on about how badly they wanted Injustice. Now, they have him and now they don't want him anymore.

Moreover, every game has some kind of top tier, and every game has a list of shitters.

I understand that fighting these characters can be frustrating, but the way I see it, you really only have two options:

Grind the MU's out or pick a character that can compete with them and grind that MU out. Simply saying, "I'm quitting the game because Batgirl is braindead" is really just hanging a lampshade on the fact that people don't want to struggle vs. something hard.

Can people stop with this running commentary that 'this community can't play 2 games' please? It's nonsense, and the sheep on these boards just bleet it out every time this question is asked.

Lots of the NRS players play 2 games, but I assume that most of the people that say this trash only play one fighting game anyway.

To put my opinion forward on the question, Injustice has never been everyone's cup of tea anyway, but MKX has obviously dug out some peoples real feelings about the game. Of course for some reason, this brings people under the illusion that MK9 isn't a trash game competitively and can actually be taken seriously.

Agree about the tearing. I swear having such a good practice mode has actually made people even more lazy; I feel that hardly anyone is actually trying to learn MU's or find solutions to things anymore. I'm not sure a lot of them ever did with Injustice tbh.

I hate feeling like I have to take heat for dropping Injustice. Like I'm still obligated to support a game when the developers no longer support it. Even ironically, if they still supported the game and did another patch- 90% of the patch would be fixing DLC characters they added post-release. If they aren't going to fix the game I'd at least prefer they not break it.

There are multiple reasons.

1. The excitement for Mortal Kombat X.

2. Players in the community disliking Injustice because Injustice is not Mortal Kombat.

3. Superman's and Black Adam's utter dominance pre-patch.

4. Tournament organizers banning prominent high level players from their tournaments because they are "grown ass men".

5. A handful of average yet highly delusional players who believe they would be significantly better "if Injustice had footsies".

Immortal Kombat

almost moderate success
Because the one thing this community is good at is letting our former NRS games die. We did it to mk9, now injustice, it will happen with mkx too.

Lol as Green Lantern I hate Zatanna more than anyone else. At least against MMH I know what's actually going on. And then against him I can get some wake up reversing setups going. Against Zatanna she teleports anywhere on screen for free! She's the worst then cyborg.

She's the bae also b13 into the rockets thingy idk the string exactly is annoying deal with try that. Also maybe try not doing wake up reverse things like try to go for controlling the situation and adapt to her wake ups in specific.

I will not stand this slandering against the bae.
