What's new

For those who can only play online, I have a question for you.

Sure, but nobody plays in the general vicinity of UWO (London).

Not gonna lie I was losing interest in the game when I started going to gga and it completely renewed my fun in the game. Not only was it fun to play new people in a different setting (offline) but I really enjoyed learning more about the engine, how the game functions on a fundamental level and how/ what to look for to figure it out.

Now in denver I've spent a few months getting my shit together. But without much offline scene or even viable Internet to game on I find myself losing interest in the game altogether.

There has never been a offline scene in the top half of my country ( where i live ) So people up here haven't come out of the closet yet and showed the true potential that can be ! ! Just online which is only for fun and won't make you reach the top with the dumb stuff that happens in them lags! And that's the reason why i'v never took a FG on a "Serious" level yet...which i hope will change real soon! So the answer to your question is yes...a offline scene will make you a better player.

Coming from someone who started strictly online, Offline made me 100x the player I used to be.

My scene isn't very strong or anything. However, just having older players teach you basics and fundamentals will make you so much better. If someone is better than you at the game, that will make you way better (especially if you become a challenge to them and they in turn start to step it up).

The majority of online players are bad. They don't adapt, they complain when they lose, and they don't try to step it up. Online is a good practicing tool, however.

Take it like this: I'm not good at all at Killer Instinct, however online I've lost MAYBE 20/100 fights. I suck at that game. Playing only good people online can make you a lot better, but even when I was doing that I still paled in comparison to most offline players in my scene once I started to come around.

But yeah, this exact scenario pretty much happened to me and made me a way, way better player.
