Everything wrong with Destiny

For Me right NOW I would give the game an 8 out of 10. Once they add more story lines and expand the universe more and continue balancing pvp like they are that score could go up to at least a 9 if not higher. In comparison here is how I would rate other bungie games.

Halo 9
Halo 2 9.5
Halo 3 10
Halo 3 ODST 7
Halo Reach 7
Destiny 8. (Could go higher)

Even though they didn't make H4 I would rate that game a 6.

to me Halo 2 would have been perfect if noob combo was nerfed and hacking was prevented. Games was super close to perfect. Halo 3 they fixed those two issues.

It probably has something to do with the fact that you tend to find the same shit time and time again.

While the mats would be nice, it would be nice to get what you're looking for.

No one knows that struggle more than a Diablo 3 player, however.

That's where your partner should be. He can camp on the other side of where I am at. The only problem with that is the Shielded Cabals spawn there everywhere few seconds, then disappear a few seconds later

Na I have a ton of friends who play the game so I just ran it with them. I've already done it twice lol. Takes about 30mins

You can just have someone snipe at him from the left most cover spot. You'll be able to see the boss there. When he is out of sight you can just take out mobs then either come out to bait him...or take a few shots. IMO no one should leave that cover area unless it is to get ammo if needed. You are just putting yourself at risk.

I haven't been able to do the vault. I'm a lvl 24 but the biggest issue is I have nobody to run it with.

I dont mind grinding at all. I know how MMOS work. Its the repetitive strikes more than anything. I love the excitement when I get new loot but when you factor in repetitive gameplay with bullet sponge bosses that take half your life in a few shots it just isn't fun. I shouldn't have to spend 15 minutes shooting Val Ta'aurc just for him not to drop anything and get a garbage reward in the end. The amount of work I put in should be reciprocated equally. I'm not asking for legendary drops every single strike but holy shit it should not take me days on end to hit a legendary. Once I do get one it ends up being for another class completely which is also bullshit.

To put things in perspective, I grinded the loot cave for 8+ hours and picked up 4 legendary engrams. 2 of which became blue, one was armor for another class and the last one was actually a legendary. Maybe I'm spoiled from playing Borderlands but that is NOT enough reward for all the work I put in.

By the way, those reviews came out the week the game came out. That with the format of releasing content in small bits more frequently over time... there's no way those reviews can even be accurate.

The game is good. It's not what it was made out to be due to pressure from activision and the dev shifts. But... it's still a really good, fun game. If you wait forever to buy it... you're going to miss out on the experience of the content/storyline developing as time goes on. But that's your call.

The reviewers are just reviewing what's given to them at launch. I think that's fair.

I see nothing wrong with legendaries being hard af to get.
legendary gear wasn't meant for some random scrubs, it was meant for the people that grind it day and night.
like diablo 3 legendaries were once upon a time.
now you will see scrubs like myself walking around with legendaries.

I think there's a fundamental aspect that people seem to attribute as a positive to Destiny that can ALSO be an absolute disappointment; playing with friends. People that have a friends list of active people playing Destiny do NOT experience the difficulty finding / completing content with ZERO matchmaking. This is the loneliest multiplayer game I've played in a while.

lol i've been killed by that gun.... by a dude i snuck up on.

it is pretty stupid.

my main gripe with pvp is that guns that are supposed to be "mid" range typically reach way further than they should. Unless it is a hand cannon...... that thing is typically hitting at the right distance.

I don't know how they messed that one up.

I got all excited cause of the hype of this game not knowing anything about it... Went over to my little cousins hows who has it and after watching him play for 15 mins... I realized.... Its just Call of Duty...

It is a SIGNIFICANTLY better game if you have friends or a clan to play with. Otherwise, yeah, put the controller down and go outside.

It's fun and I want more. I'm probably going to buy the DLC. There's no "falling" for anything
