Lol it's a vortex mate. Because some characters have fucked up (OP) wake-up options doesn't mean this isn't a vortex.

Alright. I guess I'm the only one who thinks slightly ambiguous cross-up jump setups that half the cast can prob option select wakeup/teleport out of aren't vortexes.

I'm not trying to hate on your tech, it's nice, but I feel it's better to call a spade a spade instead of dressing it up.

what I do is
BGB, dash forward, jump over opponent. Then I decide b2, or MB flipkick. B2 doesent cross up. Flipkick does.
The only bad thing here is that the opponent can wake up. With the only option being MB flipkick. Unless I wanna make it safe and just Mb B3 through wu.

I just found an option to fuck up every single wake-up with this. This is going to be really, really, REEALLLLLYYYYY good.

This is consistent not just to this set up though just FYI...NW safe jump game is VERY underrated and he gets safe jumps off of his sweep, SS, and 113 at the end of virtually every combo.

It's still wakeup specific to an extent but very good. I'd still like a video though cause I could be wrong

Ok here are a couple of videos:
After the knockdown if you just wait a moment then do an empty jump in, all the wakeups will whiff. I recorded the setup, and let the AI do it, and I tried to wake-up as Superman:

Vs Batgirl:

They have to reeeeally delay the wakeup and input it in reversed to get it to hit in the right direction, and they are probably going to miss it. And even if they didn't miss it, and got the wakeup to come out in the right direction, your jump is safe and you can block.

Another really good thing, if the opponent is using a character with an option select wakeup, like BG or Superman, and they read the empty jump and try to wakeup with reversed inputs, they'll get the wrong wakeup to come out in the wrong direction, and it will whiff, and you punish. That's what happened with me in the video above with Superman.

They CAN NOT d2 you out of the empty jump. Your jump is completely safe. You can even block a d1 if they go for it.
