Just wanted to say how much I have loved watching the Yes and No Campaigns.

The vote itself is so uplifting because an entire nation (85% voter turnout) was ALLOWED to peacefully and democraticly vote for independence. No warfare, no bloodshed, no broken families. Just educated and passionate debate leading to a majority rule.

Bravo UK. Let this be a model for the rest of the world to follow. *Looks at Russia and Ukraine*

Additionally Prime Minister Cameron's speech was amazing. Anyone interested in politics should give it a listen.

Edit: To the less politicaly saavy among us, the vote itself, not the outcome, is what is exciting. 97% registration and 86% turnout is historic. It is refreshing to see people exercising their freedoms and expressing their opinions instead of not voting and just bitching.

The outcome was pretty obvious so I understand why people are not 'excited' about it.
Lol no it wasn't. Also the outcome isn't what is exciting. It was the vote itself.

I guess a lot of people just are not really interested in politics. It was just refreshing to see 97% registration and 86% turnout.

It is nice to see people exercising their freedoms instead of not voting and just bitching.

I guess this concept is lost to most of you younger guys lol

How do you feel about Putin? I totally support what he is doing in Ukraine and I hope he comes to the US and shows us just how "free" we are. ;)

I think the reason for the disinterest in politics in general for the youngsters is that they do not see the changes reflected in their own community or where they live no matter who is voted in.
It was good to see such a high turnout for the vote.

Yea dunno bout that much lol, but Russia would take USA atm I reckon.

I regards to the Scottish, if they voted for independence, we should've taken a page outta Russias book and 'annexed' Scotland.
I wasn't ready to drop the Union Jack.
