Let's talk about your problems with IGAU

You know that turbine interactable on Ferris Aircraft stage? I don't understand why that shit randomly hits me when I know I'm ducking.

Also get pretty disappointed in myself as a person when I get bonked by any of those slow-ass Donkey Kong barrels.

Who do you play?
A sad Deathstroke and Green Lantern lol. I understand about the interactables. Some times I feel as though I'm way out of reach to be hit and even up at a arch backward and still get rocked.

I like this game's neutral. I love the zoning, I love the footsies. I disliked interactables at first but the meta has gotten to the point where they are for the most part fair. I love how unique every character is and how this game manages to function balance-wise despite how off-the-wall almost every character is.

What I don't like is the amount of characters who thrive off of safe 50/50s and vortexy set-ups. Also this is the most cliche gripe ever with this game but I've never been a fan of how few characters have viable AA options.
oh man I was about to write a response about my discovery of low quality anti airs lol. AM seems to have one of the better AA's thus far, but Deathstrokes D2 gets stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey.

My biggest issue is having to time my wake ups all awkward! This might standard in fight games, but the only other fg I played was mk9 so I'm really used to getting knocked down, doing the input and it coming out!

Done with MK1. Stop supporting a scam company
Everyone says DS's d2 it's good. Most characters have good anti-airs you just have to know when/how to use them.

Come on Tottery u already knew what u were getting into when u bought the game, u know all the bull it has but still dropped ur money, kind of pointless to make a thread about it now...this discussion has been brought up countless times.
Injustice is a great game that punishes you like no ther game will for not knowing every in/out/MU/hole it has

When someone gets hit by something they don't know how to deal w they call it BS
As I've stated I believe you are 100% correct on this, but this thread isn't about not knowing how to deal with something. It's about things you would improve on or change to make the game even better....and there is definitely something. I'm surprised no one has said the netcode yet.

I love the viability of 90%+ of the roster
I love how extreme each characters properties can be
  • Hate to bring MK up in this but every character had a projectile (some good some bad) and a method of offense/pressure(some good some bad)... while in IGAU characters like Bane have an absolutely broken up-close game, but no threat level outside of jump distance.
I love how there are massive amounts of variables in every match-up and on different stages
  • The "my crazy tools vs your crazy tools" in each MU is fantastic IMO
I love how every character can play their own game (usually)
  • I think this is the biggest reason the game is balanced; every character has SOME BS so... unusual or extreme relative to other characters that disallows "auto-piloting"
I love the over-the-top supers/action/zoom-ins/clashes/universal armor

tldr;
IMO the massive amounts of variables in specials/traits/stages keep this game feeling super fresh and fun to me.
Best post in the thread thus far. I also commend you for saying something about your character is broken. There is a lot of downplaying around here so I respect that. I'm loving the variables in this game. The stages especially add new elements to each MU, which is think is fresh. I do hope MKX does the same.

Yes this talk of safe 50/50s shows complete ignorance example has anyone here heard of akuma?

Safe 50/50s right?

All these chefs and Riazays need to learn to deal now w it or get their diapers ready for MKx
I may not be top shit, but I don't think it's like that. I think the problem is being able to see the 50/50 coming. That is something I am struggling with atm. I don't know if it's my eyes or what, but certain starters for characters seem ridiculously fast to the point I can't see it and block correctly, so essentially I guess time to time. Who know's maybe it's just something I need more experience with, but I find that kind of frustrating.

thought this was gonna be a thread about our problems as players... (would that be a good thread?)

my problems i still need to work on are:

- tourney nerves
- adjusting between online/offline
- making bad decisions in the heat of battle
- pushblocking too much
- losing 6-4 match-ups

on topic: i don't really have much problems with the game besides some of the interactables
Posting what you need to work on as a player is more than acceptable in this thread. I should update the OP to include that.

I need to;
pushblock more lol
stop making bad reads with my AA's
Completely stop waking up(if it works once I get in the habit of doing it over and over some reason in this game. I also forgot sword flip was nerfed)
learn which strings are interruptable

My only problem is that weird input bug that makes me do many accidental down back specials when I go from low blocking to back + any button too fast.
You can prevent it with some practice, so it's not that big of a deal. Injustice is a great game, probably my favorite fighting game actually.

Get over here!
I may not be top shit, but I don't think it's like that. I think the problem is being able to see the 50/50 coming. That is something I am struggling with atm. Well you cant see true 50 50s coming, that is why they are called a 50 50. Its a guess, weather it is a hi vs low or a crossup situation the idea is that you are forcing the opponent into a guess and if you guess wrong you get hit. If it is something you can see and react to with practice it is not a true 50 50.

I personally hate the fact that in injustice there are so many safe on block 50 50s that lead to full combos. I dont mind 50 50s at all, I actually like them but IMO there should be risk to the attacker when going for a 50 50 that leads to a full combo (especially when the combo ends in another 50 50). I liked how scorpions 50 50 in mk9 worked. Massive risk but massive reward as well. IOM if you are going to have safe 50 50s they should lead to a single attack/knockdown at most and end there.

My problems are all the people that think the game doesn't have footsies or AAs
Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Grundy. MMH (with trait- can't jump on him), Zod, Shazam, Batgirl ( fast special) these characters all have good AA and other chars have other answers.

yo who watched djt vs armor at WCW? now that is something that I just dnt like #YEEEAAAPP, but u know what? Every fighting game involves something that is very ridiculous in certain matchups, so it is what it is. Me and DJT will support nrs games till the end!!! (can't wait for mkx! which will be awesome!)

Death is my business
Only things i would correct imo are some corner bugs where the invisible barrier kicks in , Paulo itself spoke about it that they had to choose the lesser evil since there was another issue with corner mechanics that was worse , i can understand that and TBH corners have some kind of fucked up situations / bugs in 90% of FGS.

Other than that i don't mind 50/50 but rather some moves with low risk / very high reward ( let's bring some examples: Trident Rush , Batgirl b2u3 / j2 and general corner damage+meterless vortex , Banes' cooldown on Venom and recovery on command grab , MMH orbs startup/recovery and trait cooldown , Zod IAZB , Superman corner damage+OTG ) wich is not news in fighting games as anything i've played had some VERY good moves / specials that restricted the meta to less meaningful choices.

That applies to MK9 , everyone loves to talk about footsies but isn't more of the stuff i've described what lessens the game enjoyment?Or the 50/50s debacle , hell in MK9 characters will literrally CHIP you to death with anything no matter how you blocked high or low ( examples : KL 21212 = 10% meterless chip and hit confirmable , JC f33b3 6% and neutral after it , Kenshi anything into EX SC into another EX SC /SC , Freddy zoning , Sonya d4xxMS f1 advantage on block , Kitanas 112xxEX cutter did 10% or more and it was neutral on block , Kabal NDC frametraps and so on )..... is that any better than a 50/50? ( wich some deny you can backdash a lot of these free 50/50 after jumpins , or are much more recognizable when you know that knockdown setup ) And not everyone in MK9 had Sonyas EX Cartwheel to get out of pressure , actually 80% of the cast had to deal w bs frametraps+chip because they didn't have armor ( or lacked decent reward on it ) but in spite all of this MK9 footsies ( or dashblocking a lot with a little walking as i would actually explain it ) are considered god on earth and the pinnacle of FGS.

Go figure.

Also IGAU is fun to play , hold dat.

( sorry for the rant hehe )

BG's AA is shit, have you tried anti-airing things with df2? It gets stuffed 90% of the time. KF has an amazing anti-air too as does Flash, Bane and Doomsday.

As for things I'd prefer were different, random corner glitches (right side of Ferris, Atlantis and Batcave). AM's trident rush. That's about it.
