Normals as AAs in injustice...how viable are they?

Surprised this didn't get more discussion. I was messing around with some character's normals, but a lot of jump in attacks have prioriety over the majority of most normals. Not only this, most normals aren't fast enough so you can react.

Although I voted no, I think it could be possible, but a player would have to have an immaculate spacing game to do so, because it's very range specific and must be done in anticipation. I don't feel many are willing to put the time in to take a risk like that (although if someone could that would be sick!). Just my 2 cents.

if i've got a read on somebody with grundy i can d2 them and convert that into a billion percent which is cool

Honestly, it depends on the character/matchup. Not everyone has a lasso, tridant, or long ass hitbox to AA with.

For example, as a Catwoman player I'd always found it way more reliable to go for a trip guard rather than straight up AA.
