Regarding the News with 16 Bit and Pig...

Principle? Pig called big e's tournaments some pretty bad shit, why would Big E want him there? Not for you too try and change
Not wanting him there and outright banning him are two different things. Yes, if a person said some bad shit about my tournament I wouldn't be thrilled and would probably hope he doesn't show up again. But banning him is some pretty dictator-y shit. They had issues with the tournament, they spoke up. There were a million better ways to deal with this than banning them.

I'd ban him, fgc grow up, illuminati bs right here, a TO is doing his job. Besides they have been talking, noones business but theirs.

Both parties are vague about what happened, who talked shit first and why x person didn't approach ther other party directly but started complaining elsewhere. But if you want this problem solved, then you gotta go to Big E or Shinblanka and talk it out like a man. If you're not going to these tournament nothing will get solved and worst case scenario tournaments die about because people follow these bad examples. IF kinghippo wants to solve this problem then he should go and talk to to Big E in person.

If I want this problem solved I'd let them attend, make sure I do a better job, and leave them nothing to bitch about. Then, anything that happened previously becomes old news. This is only making matters worse and forcing everyone to hang on to what happened.

All 3 people in here? And making matters worse is trying to bring it up to try and stop others from attending as well, it's shit like this that bring the community down, rather than try and help it grow. 2 of our members dont want to support a few majors, OH FUCKING WELL. Lets try and and get 2 more members to go rather than bitch about 2 not going.

What gave you the impression that I'm suggesting people should boycott the tournament unless 16 Bit and Pig are unbanned? I'm just saying they shouldn't be banned, period. Every argument I've heard so far doesn't address the issue.

I honestly think this should just concern the parties involved. From what I understand, pig and bit didn't want to attend ec majors unless Big E and KN answered their questions. If they feel they shouldn't explained anything to them how things went, that's fine.

But if they want to attend those tournaments, they should try to talk to them directly. I don't think having the community speak for them will make things better. Just cause more tension. This is just going to cause the community to split up or choose sides. Which is stupid. They should handle it themselves if they want to. Let them talk to them, not us for them.

It's between them, you don't know what went down, and it's up to them.

Also did Big E not just be the single biggest supporter of Injustice in the games lifespan with the NEC bonuses. You guys are fucking trash.

@KingHippo

I came into this thread with a real bad impression of what was going to be written, I was happy to be proven wrong. Thank you for considering both sides of the argument.

I hope more details are revealed. The only people who truly know what is going on is @GGA 16 Bit , Pig Of The Hut, and the folks at Big E/Kombat Network run events.

I think we should all cool our jets until those parties come forth and explain the situation.

Everybody is pretty cool. This is not directed at you, but this is what always happens: Somebody puts forward genuine concerns and articulates them properly (in this case Hippo). People expect drama. People act like there IS drama even when there isn't (in this case Mr. Aquaman and to a lesser extent your above comment). The posts in this thread are (surprisingly) level-headed. But of course, what always happens is some guy from the other side of the arguments gets too emotional, things escalate, thread gets closed. It's like we're conditioned to expect this so we drive it in that direction.

So according to this thread, people were banned for bitching. It's not all about computer game skills, If people want to be professional, then people should act accordingly in a professional manner. Perhaps people can Learn from this instead of bitching. Which is why people got in trouble in the first place. According to this thread.
How do you know they weren't professional? Being professional does not mean you can't raise / discuss valid concerns, all it means is that you do so in a thoughtful, constructive way.

If they were professional their concerns would have been listened to. Bitching about negative stuff, nixed with ego of tournament play ends in bad situations. No offense to you pig if you read this, but from what the situation sounds like there's a very apt song which goes "anything you can do I can do better than you". Nothing to do with me but if people went to you and 16Bit and cried, using top players as voices to point out all the bad things that TO did, regardless if they were bad or not, maybe add diplomacy and mention the good things as well. Peace yo.

If that's the impression you got from my comment, I will apologize as I must not have worded it properly. Different mindsets I suppose.

Let me clarify just to avoid the argument. I and many others don't know all the facts yet. I understand completely why you and others would be upset and you have every right to be. However, there is literally no representation from any of the parties involved in this thread and I personally choose to reserve any judgement to ANY side until more information is given.

Anytime a player is banned from an event it definitely raises eyebrows...I just need more of the "Why" to make a better informed judgement. That's me personally, and if you have a problem with that rationale, I am sorry, but it's just where my head is currently.

Shock, Kombat Network and co aren't exactly open to even the most respectful kind of criticism, at least if this forum is any indication.

The problem is that they have tried, multiple times, to talk to Big E and ShinBlanka. But they pretty much had no interest in listening.

It's also not just principle, they both just want to come to good events. They want TFC, NEC, etc to be good events, and want to make sure the problems of the past are gone, they just want their criticism to be met with "okay, here's how we'll fix it" rather than being censored or banned for being the voices of the many people who did not have a good experience.

To me, I honestly don't care about the reasons unless they are truly ban worthy (ie violent behavior, serious disparaging, etc...). It would probably be better if we actually don't know what really went down and they all handle it in private to avoid needless drama. However, judging from what I've read from all the concerned parties, I don't see how what 16 Bit and Pig said (regardless of whether you or I agree with it or not) is ban worthy.

Banning someone from attending numerous tournaments is serious business, and there better be a GOOD and convincing reason for it, that goes beyond criticism, even if said criticism is excessive (I know how outspoken Bit and Pig are so I'm not saying the TO's have no leg to stand on).
