TKT: Are characters battling for the control of Outworld 'Game of Thrones’ style now that Kotal Kahn is the new emperor? Mileena is still alive at the end of MK9 and seems to be Shao Kahn's last surviving heir.

EB: Yes. As like I said before, the course of the game is over twenty-five years so people come in and out of power so it's a great shift of control.

Just confirm this shit already.

It's never been clear what it does. Remember, the only people who've actually played the game and bothered to explain anything are Max (a marvel player) and Rip (a Tekken player) and their reports were all done hours after they played it on live stream. All we've had to go on are random blocking-less trailers and clips played on laggy monitors and whatevers written in those little variation bubbles. Just assume every actual report we've got on what anything actually does is sketchy. Which is why most of these threads suck.

The roster has 24 slots on the select screen right now. MK9 had 32 playable characters, including Kratos and the DLC; will the MKX roster match or exceed this?

Yeah it will be comparable to MK9, you know it might be a little more, but will definitely be comparable to it.

i calling it right now roster of 30 with 4 unlokales + dlc

Could also mean 24 Characters like Slots already, and 8 DLCs.

I don't know where people drew that conclusion either, Boon, since hardly anyone has had a chance to even play as Cassie, despite those who have been at these last few gaming conventions.

I greatly despise anyone that says that Sonya and Johnny should not be in this game because of Cassie, and that she'll obviously play just like the both of them when, for a fact, it's been stated that she has only one move taken from her parents, and it's Johnny's nut punch.

... End rant.

He just moments before said "opposite of mk9" and "we're going to add as much newness as possible", yet this vaguely suggestive line about fan assumptions is all that anyone can remember.

I look forward to how much salt this games cast is going to create. Every single day in 2015 is gonna be one of the 12 days of christmas. Injustice wars 2 here we come!

cannot wait for the return of my favorite MK players: DjT, MiT, REO, PL, CD bros, Christ G, PIG, Wound, PBoard, Curbo, Detroit, 16bit, FoXy, xsmokex, MyGod. This game is going to be so hype especially since it runs faster than injustice and mk9 and has a improved training mode, and if the online is as good as tekken's then I say we have a game that should last us as long as sf4 has lasted the capcom community. Also can't wait to see my favorite injustice players make a switch: zyphox, theo, arma, kdz, and max.

Couple things from the interview.

1. That character select screen we have now with 24 slots is full of shit.

2. Sonya and Mileena will come back almost 100%

My favorite bits. All already known, but still make me rock hard.

- The game is faster-paced than MK9 and marginally faster than Injustice: Gods Among Us.

- Throws can now be meter-burned. So you can into a 50/50 from a meter-burned grab.

- Dash-cancelling is not present in this build and it is not likely it will be included.

- Forward Forward RT / R2 is the command input for running.

- You can begin a combo directly after running and use running to extend combos.

- Running can be cancelled at any time during the animation, even into a dash.

- The Stamina Meter dictates the duration of running.

- Forward and Backward dashing will deplete the Stamina Meter.

- Environmental interactions can be meter-burned but are still fully blockable
