Rain unlikely to return, New 'ality' will be from previous game, MK vs SF not in development via IGN

The biggest hurdle for Rain being in the game is that he is CDjr's favorite character.

He will probably show up in the story mode and get brutally murdered 5 minutes later.

So he pretty much said there will be other descendant characters besides Cassie Cage. I wonder who else got their freak on. ;)

Bringing back an ality from a previous MK game. Hmmmm... I hope it's Animalities, although I wouldn't be upset if it was Brutalities.

So we are going to get an official release date in a couple weeks! Hell yeah.

Why was is not noted that Boon said that characters from the new generation will interact with their "elders" or "relatives" of sorts. Doesn't that confirm Johnny and/or Sonya is in? Maybe Shao Kahn returns?

It only confirms they are in story mode, which we already knew

This. I've hated him since Trilogy, lol. And purple is my favorite color!

Maybe they're bringing back Animalities, though. Would be pretty sick to see new Animalities for new gen, they could do some awesome stuff.

PC was confirmed from the first announcement so that's not really any news. Althou im gonna play it on PC that's for sure, as usual probably gonna be the best version of the game.

Why should we have Cassie AND Sonya? They seem like theyd be the same character unless they basically have 6 cassie variations already made up..

I understand the argument that some don't want two similar looking characters in the game (Sonya + Cassie). But saying you don't want them to both be in because they'd play similarly is just a shot in the dark at this point.

So far Cassie does nothing Sonya did in Mk9. Just because two characters look similar doesn't mean they'll be similar as far as play styles.
