Dink's final detailed Quan MU chart

Oh so you're a European guy, I see ;) Yeah, probably not unfortunately :( I can play anyone worldwide but it's on xbox, PS doesn't offer worldwide correct? Just region lock?

I see, if you got a chance to play the quan chi players I mentioned I think you'd (not necessarily change your position) but perhaps see where I'm coming from. To be fair, I don't know how much different this match is offline vs. online but I'd imagine probably not that much different. I just feel as someone who mains Sektor(second character main) IMO QC is one of the few characters that really give him a rough time. You sound like a friendly fellow though.
Yeah PSN is region locked. The only problem I have online sometimes is trying to punish trance with a teleport and it comes out so late I get punished myself...into the rune trap. Sad times :(.

Thank you sir for your kind words.

Ahh, that sucks. I have PS one and two, I remember they were the same :( Yeah, that sounds like lag no doubt or delay. Sure anytime.

I could just list a few things on y I got reptile beating quan:
*better footsies
*better mobility
*hard to lock down to set up rune trap because reptile can go all over the place with his dash
*doesn't even need to use projectiles much bcuz up close, quan doesn't have much
*better wakeups
I mean, if quan can get the rune trap (like in all matchups), he's in good hands. But the issue is, it won't be easy locking reptile down with quan.

These things tell me reptiles a better character, which i agree. But they dont really win him the match. Footies is nice, but quan wants to stay 3/4 screenish in this MU, and dash is dangerous because of the punish on it if he blocks. and to @THTB point about not always reacting to projectiles, i think @Konqrr told me once that MU charts are based on both characters playing at the highest level which in this case this would be a game changer

It's a theoretical approach that doesn't entirely work simply due to the fact that humans =/= robots. Yeah, you should be able to always react properly and punish. But you are not the AI, which is the key difference. That won't be a game changer, probably ever. And even if it is, Reptile doesn't necessarily need the forceballs anyway. If you wanna stay 3/4 screen, you give Reptile the edge since all it takes is one ducked skull and you lose that spacing, because that's the perfect range for whiffed dashes. Or he could read your skull, dash in advance and punish. He still wins at that spacing anyway.

What is the best way to approach Kenshi? Just take it really, really, really slow and hope they don't make a single good read? Hopefulyl its not that black and white.

So how many people play on MK9 online these days on XBL? 20-30? Potentially less? I want to go back into the game but with the college life 95% of my practice would be online experience. If there is no frequent player base. I'm stuck.

Quan doesnt need to throw skulls either, and his reward off spacing is far better than reptiles

the things I listed are reason's that quan will struggle vs reptile. Also, reptile is getting in one way or another, that elbow dash too stronk and closes too much distance. Once in, reptile has control with his pokes and pressure.

That is true about the trance punish but quan doesnt really need to use trance that much. Ive heard arguments either way
Quan Chi's Green Skulls, Skydrop and fast Uppercut keeps Kitana in check. With a right read on Kitana she can punish all three of those for massive damage.

Green Skulls = Kitana angled Jump Kick~Fan
Skydrop = 21~EX Fan half life damage
Uppercut = Baited on whiff up close, half his life is gone.

3 really good Quan Chi tools plus his dirty Rune Trap save this from being 3-7 or 2-8 lol

Kitana wins 6-4 certainly she is too safe of a character with big damage, Quan Chi fights with risk.

Woolay Dink ;)

Some solid points good sir I can concur on 6-4 since it is just slight advantage...although begrudgingly :p

Im curious as to which quans youve played. If it wasnt me or soup arguments will be invalid
ive played both you and soup, ive yet to come across a quan that makes me feel like that MU is relatively even. his gimmicky mixups can be fuzzied, his low string can be interrupted, he loses trades from fullscreen, the rest has already been pointed out. the only way quan is seeing victory in this MU at the highest level is several GDLK reads and a little yolo, but then hes just playing smokes game...
