I'd like to make a case for the Dark Knight:

In a world where superhero films are a dime a dozen, the Dark Knight stands above all others not just because its one of the best in the genre, and not just because its a fantastic dissection of said genre, but also because I believe that film will be remembered as a cultural touchstone in years to come. The Dark Knight has been interpreted by many as an allegory for a post 9/11 world and how the united states has responded to threats of terrorism since then, and it actually handles touchy subjects like extraordinary rendition and torture in surprisingly subtle ways.

My favorite one from the 2013 films I've seen was Upstream Color. Her was really good too though.

What? That movie was super weird... The whole time I was watching it I was telling myself "how can he not remember she's code?! He's falling in love with CODE." It just weirded me out too much to count as a 'good movie' tbh.

I don't blame you for seeing the movie as weird.
But at the same time the movie know some people
would see it as weird, so that's why the movie made it clear
that all people in the movie weren't fine with it, and alot of people
looked down on what he was doing. If you really thing about it all alot
of people want is to find the right person to spend time with and if you could
make their personality in five seconds, i feel that most people would forget that there not real also.
