It's not that fact they play online they get bashed. It's when they say they can mop people up offline and won't play offline. For example we had a Marvelous
Member here who literally sits behind stream chats and TYM calling out and taunting scenes and specific players. When he got called out to play offline, he used the option selects. Moral of the story is, if you're playing online fine, but no way in hell you should make a clown of yourself talking shit to offline players and proceed to not show up to events.
Results are #1 and he's gone away from his territory and placed really well at really strong tourneys w competition from all regions and won a major in his own.

I'm not an offline player, but I've lingered around here long enough to see Tom Brady deal with the same thing. You need to understand that you can only be the "best player" in people's eyes at the CURRENT moment in time. Do well in one tournament, you're deemed the best. Do poorly in another or don't show up, but get outplaced by someone using your character, he will be deemed the best. This is a never-ending cycle, which is why it is pointless to reason with people until AFTER the game is passed its prime and, well, dies. We can now say REO was the best Kabal in MK, 16 Bit was the best Kitana, and Pig was the best Kenshi because the game ran its course, and they had the most results during that span. Only numbers count. And they count at the very end.
Wanting to be the best =/= Not sharing tech/leveling up other people who play your character
Can I give you a public shoutout? This guy has been a big part of the community since KIT and this is why people will go back again next year. Not only was it a well run tourney but Vandy is posting, on facebook, and knows the players in multiple games.
so this just a classic case different variables for the same experiment. Player A has had more exposure at tournaments by traveling, playing more people, and more opportunities to get MU exp offline. i haven't left the EC, or played Cowboy, bit, blind man, dave this year at all. me and you played in one tournament match ft2 and you won convincingly. i've beaten whiteboi and Jupiter in tournament. Also the fact that i'm From the EC plays a role in this as well, lbsh. Jupiter knows why because he has first hand experience as to why my flash is different from the rest, no one else you speak to really plays me, or has played me in a very long time. i can understand why you think the way you do, and i feel i won't have an opportunity to really play you until KIT in 6 months since your taking a break to change your mind, so if Results truly Speak in Major tournaments in America i am the highest placing flash, if you want to have discrepancy, i beat players at WB who know my play style the best and my tendencies, i had to outplayed each and everyone of them. anyway i get what your saying and i respect your opinion. just don't make it seem like honeybee is the best hands down like its unanimous and the next runner up is light years behind like all other catwoman players are to 16 bit or something.
Agreed UNLESS they are discrediting the people who have, which I have seen a lot in the past (Ra Helios, Cage Redfield, Fred Marvel, etc). There is no reason for someone to be discrediting someone's accomplishments, especially if they are not performing themselves.
