Sam Wilson (falcon) will be captain america

sooooo a day after the Mighty Thor was revealed to become a woman........

Marvel makes Captain America Black. Sam Wilson is going to be the new captain America.

I'm all about equality and stuff but I'm still recovering from the fact that Thor's going to be a woman. I think this push was way to drastic and it's getting.....it's just hard to take in.

Are they really going to change up the big 3? Thor's a woman, Cap's now Black. How much do you guys wanna bet that Iron Mans going to be Bisexual?

Retired June 2012. Unretired June 2013.
Hal Jordan's White.
John Stewart is Black.
Both different. Both loved. Both Green Lanterns. What's the problem?
The problem is Archie died saving a homosexual, the hammer and powers of a god have been given to a woman, and an African American has picked up the most patriotic shield and costume in comic book history that represent the USA. Do you not see what is happening?

Society is....becoming all correct and stuff. This is fucked up.

this

Is there something wrong with Captain America being Black? lol

I'm sorry if this post came off as a little racist where I'm from people are not like the rest of America (if the internet is correct)

THIS. HAS. NOTHING. TO . DO.WITH.RACE

I loved captain America as a character and I loved everything about him. His background story his personality and his iconic morals. Of course I have to give Sam a chance but I've read comics with him in it I know what he's like, and my cap (Steve Rodgers none of that Bucky as cap or dick as batman crap)

He could have started out black and have been changed to white I'd still be a little pissed. The switching up of the characters is all that's pissing me off. I'll give them a chance but I'm pretty sure not everyone that does not want Sam Wilson to be captain America is a throbbing, raging racist...

First off. Stop bitching/complaining, you aren't entitled to shit. Comics book companies can do what ever the hell they want to do with their characters. It's their right since they spend their time making these stories. Why the hell are people always complaining about things changing. Make you sound like a bunch of whiny babies. Captain America is Sam Wilson now. Thor is now going to be a woman. Wally West is black now., boo fucking hoo. Either suck it the fuck up buy the book, or don't read it. Either way, that's the way it is. What's drastic about Thor being a woman? Was it okay when he was an alien? Or is it the fact that the alien was a man, is what makes it okay? Time are changing, and so are the characters deal with it. Marvel is pushing things in a new and better direction. Magic Man what the hell is wrong with the original, is that it is boring, and over done. You have to eventually change. So what's wrong with that. What's wrong with the symbol of America being a black man, instead of a white one? Is it because he's not white? @Faded Dreams V dreamsv I hope that was sarcasm. I really do. If not then you are literally the epitome of ignorance.

@juicepouch Steve's Super Solider serum is wearing off. So you know. He's actually a real human, not one that was on glorified steroids.

The only problem with this is his suit.

I write too much.
It really depends how they go about this.

Cap has given up the mantle of Captain America before (To Bucky). If they do it right, this can be okay, but hopefully they don't get rid of Steve Rogers.
I can however see Sam Wilson as the next Captain America, and TBH he's probably the only other one besides Bucky that I could see in the role.

I don't follow Thor comics much, but was there an actual reason for his turning into a woman? I know Loki did at one point and it seemed random.

I will give all of this a chance though. After all I was seriously skeptical when Doc Ock became Spiderman, but they pulled it off pretty well (Even the retcon which we all knew would eventually happen wasn't completely retarded!).

EDIT:

Hold up, is that the actual reason? I need to catch up on events of Original Sin, which I heard may change some of the stuff I am about to say, but doesn't Nick Fury also have the super soldier serum and explained that it either prevents or incredibly delays aging? Either way Nick's been around almost a century longer than Cap and still kicks ass, so Cap's age shouldn't be affecting him yet.

This actually pisses me off. This is a forum website am I correct? Does posting my opinion really piss you off so much you post your long monologue of justice? I think I'm entitled to an opinion. I apologized to the others because the OP appeared racist but come on... can we go back to talking about the actual fucking comics?

P.s. thank you though I was not aware the serum would eventually die away

Thor being someone other than Thor Odinson is a good idea. They are relaunching the Avengers, and having the same team is boring. They have become hypocritical, self righteous dicks anyway.

Superior Spiderman was amazing. Doc Ock made a fantastic Spider-Man. He put in so much work

Nick Fury has the Infinity Formula in him

I am talking about comics/comic fandom in general. It's getting annoying. People will complain about anything now a days and it gets annoying. First people complain about stories being the same, and characters not changing. Then when change actually happens, they start bitching a fit. It's ridiculous how self entitled comics fans are now a days. I know I sounded like a dick. But I have been annoyed by this for days. Especially when the new Thor was announced and people were bitching a fit. Most of them don't even read comics. The fuck are you complaining for? The worst part is that they actually start judging this because the title is even dropped. Give it a chance first, you might actually like it.

And I detest Steve Rogers with a passion. Ever since AVX I've hated him with a passion.

Agreed. I actually have been slacking on my comics recently and I need to look up what happened since Peter got control again.

I have to say, every time life has gotten good for Peter, they pulled some sort of giant reset button, but this may have been the most organic and well executed retcon he's ever had.
Also yeah Doc put in work as Spidey, and I love just how differently he approached the job.
That midget chick who's name is escaping me at the moment was a really good character too.

I think the only parts of that entire series that I didn't like were "The Snoz" or whatever he called his teacher and that whole plagiarism thing, both of which felt shoehorned into the storyline just to give him a somewhat forced emotional conflict in the last few comics of the series.
