I don't know how you came to that conclusion, bro. I have zero faith that johnny or Sonya are coming back unless they are skins for cassie .

I refuse to believe there's only 8 returning characters, especially considering MK9's cannon opened these alternate universes and timelines. Death in MK has never meant anything.

I'm still holding firm that at least half the roster is returning characters.

I'm just wondering why you asked then. I think the fact that they're already in the game in the form of Cassie Cage trumps the fact that nobody else was left alive at the end of MK9, especially when NRS has shown they're willing to go a bit off the deep-end with their story lines in recent outings. I don't think the dead characters are any more off the table than the super redundant ones...

They have officially confirmed at least 12 new characters, at least 1 MK4 character, and a few MK5-7 characters.

With a 24 character roster(maybe a bit more).

8 returning characters sounds about right.

I mean some people want Noob in the game but I don't think he will make it because on MK9 he got knock into the souls trap by Nightwolf.

I'm sure they are planning to include UNIQUE returning characters, despite of some of them being dead. I'ts MK. All characters have been dead at least once in the past anyway.

The 3 variations system pushes imagination and design to the limit, so they can't and don't need to include generic fireball shooters. Characters like Noob Saibot, Cyrax, Kitana, Ermac, are more "special" thus, opening doors for inspired move sets and overall variation designs.

That's why there's no chance you're seeing Frost. Sub-zero already covers whatever an Ice warrior can be.

Jun has Asuka's fighting style. They don't care if they think it'll make them more money.


On topic though, I think the only characters that are a lock to absolutely return are Liu Kang, Quan Chi, and Ermac. Anyone else is up in the air or can be replaced by a "predecessor" of some sort like we saw with Cassie.

I feel there is zero chance Sonya and Cage are in this game. Cassie Cage is there to satisfy fans of Cage and Sonya. The only chance of them being in will be DLC, which I think will be mostly returning fan favorites who don't necessarily follow the storyline of MKX.

The reason why I could see sonya back in would be to fight Kano if he got in because both of them lived. Maybe what they will do is give Cassie a Sonya costume that would be awesome.

2. Mileena (survivor of story mode, Iconic, heir to outworld)
3. Reptile (Iconic, Possible survived encounter with Stryker)
4. Kenshi (Time for his actual story to shine, possible Ermac[Jerrod] cameo as telekinetic mentor)
5. Rain ( Hopeing for Edenia conflict involving Rain and Tanya)

I hate to break it to you, but i'm pretty sure Kano will be back.

Can't wait to see stances utilising his cybernetic eye. BALD KANO IS COMING BACK.
