[A Message from EVO Staff] EVO 2014 Injustice - Player Seeding, Who Should the Top Seeds Be?

I could help you with seeding, I just need to know who is registered.

I typically seed East Coast tournaments (Big E majors, ECT, TFC... and more)
Thanks for the offer; just assume everyone's attending and give me your top seeds (8, 16, 32 if you're feeling thorough -- and strong about it).

Where art thou, MKX Skarlet?
I love the useless troll posts in a serious thread from Evo organizers.

Time to stand up and put on your big boy (or girl) pants and show the rest of the FGC that we're capable of civil, educated, fact-based and fair discussion about who should be seeded and why. (who are we kidding, the girls on this site don't behave in such a way to require this kind of post).

I'm trying to help you, but you have to answer this first:

It honestly depends how far back of tournament results should matter in this seeding

For example do you want to go off of tournament results from 2014 and forward, or tournament results since Injustice's release date, or tournament results since last Evo?

The online rankings that people have quoted count majors / big events, and the points decay with time. It's up to you -- I'd keep it somewhat recent, though. Let's go with this "season," which some people think starts sometime after TFC (right?).

I have a keen eye for all things broken.

That's probably the best idea since the last patch came out right after TFC I believe.

Post patch is all that matters, IMO.

NEC and on are the majors that were in the most recent patch.

Theo, Jupiter, Sonic Fox, KDZ, 16 Bit, Forever King, Wound Cowboy, EMPR MAX, Tyrant, DJT, Florida Doomsday
I completely back this list. btw @nothingxs "Florida Doomsday" stands for Whiteboi and Noobe lol.

Though I feel like some are missing...

edit: Other players to maybe consider (if they go to EVO):

HoneyBee
PimPimJim
SaltFace
Blind Ducky
Darth Arma
Rico Suave*
Perfect Legend*
Pig of the Hut*

Noob
1- Theo
2- KDZ
3- Jupiter
4- Sonic Fox
5- Forever King

To be honest, other than THEO being a lock for #1, the above are interchangeable but they would be my top 5.

If I had to extend it into 8:

6- GGA 16 Bit
7- Wound Cowboy
8- REO/PL (In fairness, this 8th spot is probably reputation based so they could easily be replaced by someone who's done better recently. It's just that nobody sprung up to my mind).

All in on Johnny Football
I think the appropriate list would look something like this
1: Theo
2. Jupiter
3. Forever King
4. Sonic Fox
5. KDZ
6. 16 Bit
7. Whiteboi
8. Wound Cowboy
Agreed with @coolwhip other then Theo being #1 the order can be disputed but those 8 all deserve a #1 seed and the results back them up.

BS3OOO

Noob
  1. Theo
  2. KDZ
  3. Jupiter
  4. Sonic Fox
  5. Forever King
  6. Rico Suave
  7. 16 Bit
  8. DJT
After that, it's a toss up. We got Tyrant, White Boi, Wound Cowboy, Darth Arma, Honey Bee, GGA Max, P2w, Noobe, Filipino Man, PL, Ducky, Slayer, REO, Revolver, Zyphox, PimPimJim, Tom Brady, Glass Sword, Pig of the Hut, Deg, Gross.....just off the top of my head. They're all heavy hitters.

The problem with this, is your names after your top 8 are mostly names in the community. lots of them haven't hit a top 3 in a long time.

I think you gotta go through and seed any one that top 4'd at a "major" since the final Patch.

Other then that, it's evo, everyone will be good, just like MLG, you will have to play good players to get through the bracket, there are no shitters.

I agree with this one for the most part

I thought REO didn't play this game anymore? And I didn't know he was going to EVO otherwise I would've put him out there.

Rico Suave is concentrating in KI and USF4 but even if he barely plays Injustice he still manages to be a threat and continues to place well post-patch. I don't know if he should be a #1 seed but to me at least it doesn't make sense to seed people like P2W, Pig, Tom, Revolver or PL and not Rico Suave.
