Just center them a bit and place them just after each character's name right under the life bars. They also don't even have to be that long. I mean really, the player's name and a mile of empty space between it and their national flag is unnecessary.

Yeah, but that means having to create a separate scoreboard for MKX when the usual spot at the top will work for every other fighting game out there.

From a visual perspective I actually like them were they are.

Would be neat if they would include multiple HUD variations in the options menu.

The "skimpy" outfits not coming back for the females in the game doesn't necessarily scare me.

For instance, this fan art of Jade (looking similar to her UMK3 costume) isn't bad at all.

And there's very little "cleavage" shown.

Im glad the females will look more modest, not that I'm a prude but mk9 was just ridiculous like why would a military agent have a revealing vest like sonya's? They're really going in for the kill with this one

yep. in E3 build they drain 2 meter bars and all stamina bars.

I really don't see why breakers use stamina when it takes 2 bars to use it anyways.

I'm kinda nervous on this stamina meter thing.

Seems like almost everything requires stamina.

Imagine if blocking drained it...

She also does a handstand and somehow rips her opponent in half with her ankles, but you think her vest is out of place? The vest / tank top is easy to explain; its a video game with largely male fan base that also likes the ridiculous fatalities.

Yes it is out of place hence why they scrapped that nonsense in mkx. Presentation is key, has nothing to with with fatalities and video game logic. Its all about maturing the atmosphere, which is very apparent in this installment.

This is going to be the most brutal one yet!

I think nobody mentioned this, but I've noticed that hitting an opponent with normals actually builds meter now, so characters will probably get bars a bit faster than in MK9.
