Dash and get punished, you still have a breaker (full stamina). Run and get punished (even a momentary drain from the accidental run), you get no breaker. Also, what nobody seems to be mentioning is that you can run from standing by holding block and tapping forward, which is probably how most people will be doing it in the end.
Wow, didn't know that. Cool!

I know who he is, but how is he credible to the MK scene? Furthermore, how is anything you just wrote relevant to MK?

Facts are facts.....He didn't support MK bro.
Did you support every single mk ever made? I didn't buy every mk that came out, particularly the 3d ones. When mk9 was announced, I was super hyped, but did that mean I was jumping on the band wagon? No it was because the game was appealing to me and the other ones were not

The elitism from this site gets on my nerves sometimes.

The dude played the game for 2 HOURS. He is an experienced in covering fighting games in a wide breadth. His opinions and statements are definitely of merit considering he has actually had hands on time with the game, and has played Injustice and MK9.

Whether or not he is jumping on some bandwagon you guys are creating in your imagination is irrelevant.

Fantastic post and videos!

I care! He didn't support MK now he wants to hop on the bandwagon.

Can we get Tom Brady's thoughts, or someone that matters in our community?
While I do prefer to hear from people who played mk9 or have a history of playing mk I myself skipped most of the 3d games and got back when mk9 dropped.
I for one am happy this game gets more exposure even if it's from max who admitted he didn't play mk9 much.
As a mk fan since mk1 I am happy to see more exposure and welcome it as long as it's not misinformation. The amount of user's he reaches will only benefit our mk kommunity imo

Max gets super hype and its because of his love for fighting games. You gotta respect that, plus he is smart and pretty well spoken. I think it's always a good thing to have him on board the hype train so for NRS it's great. I could care less if he doesn't mention ex throws and stuff when other people covered that already, I just want him to work his magic and get tons of people wanting mkx
THIS, my friend, is the important thing

What does him not supporting MK9 have to do with anything? That game was shitty. The online was garbage. I didn't support it either. I still like to play it offline and I still love NRS. Max liking it is big. More people will be interested.

I've played every single MK game to date. I also have a physical copy of every game MK4-MK9, but I'm a hardcore MK guy.

MK9's case was unique compared to other MK games because it was NRS's first stab at a competitive fighter that wasn't targeting casual gamers specifically. It was definitely a great game and like Art Sanchez said "nobody gets it right the first time".

Max has thousands upon thousands upon thousands of people that follow him especially on YouTube. He is giving MKX massive love and massive exposure and him supporting the game will only grow the NRS and MKX scene

Honestly I don't blame max for not getting into mk9, he's a veteran and for a game not to have important elements like hit trading, he probably didn't wanna take it too seriously.

Respectable. I'd still rather hear from guys that are specifically from our community.

They said the same thing with Injustice bro because it had back to block, but look what happened.

Max is an online worry just like most of us here.....

You mean to tell me he didn't support a game because it didnt have hit trades?

You have a good point, but at least read up on MK9 a bit. That way he can talk more relevant issues for the MK guys. We're the people who will actually play the game and give it life.

You mean to tell me you find that hard to believe with the varying opinions across the entire world?

Give me a break.
No fighter is alike dude. MK isn't even a traditional 2d fighter, so to expect certain elements is silly.

MK doesn't have a counter-hit system, but I still play to hard body

It's not silly to dislike a game for missing certain elements that he would prefer.

I also don't recall him EVER saying he expected it to contain the same elements of other games. Just that the game lacking them turned him away from it. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with that. At all. He's allowed to like and dislike things for whatever reason(s) he wants.

I, for one, am glad to have Max on board spreading the hype and anticipation for MKX. I'm aware he has a large following, so this is great for the NRS community.

Max has alot of influence in the FGC, and he made it clear to the developers that the netcode needs to be good if its going to be played alot on his channel.

I see this as a great way to firmly tell NRS that netcode is important- and it's great coverage and exposure for the new game. Seems like a win-win even if he doesn't have much understanding of MK mechanics given his Capcom background.

Yeah as far as I know, no one else mentioned to nrs that the netcode has to be ace or else they won't play it. Nrs knows who max is I'm sure, and for him to say he won't play if the netcode sucks is a reason to make sure the netcode is good. Think about how much publicity he can give mkx by featuring it on his YouTube channel. He pretty much drove the KI hype single handedly and he repeatedly made mention of how good the netcode is in that game

While at E3, the famous fighting game YouTube personality, Maximilian not only put together an impressions video for Mortal Kombat X - he was also able to get his hands on the game for a solid 2 hours. In these videos, he explains what he liked about the game and also some of his gripes. He explains that the game feels like a mixture of Injustice and Mortal Kombat 9. He mentions that the character variations offer a lot in regards to play-styles as well as combos and taking in to account the new "agility" meter, things can get very crazy in the combo world. He was apparently shown a few running combos with Scorpion and Sub-Zero where he says it looked amazing.

Max is clearly very excited for this game. He admits he told the team at E3 that if the game plays well online, it's all he's going to be playing. He mentions that the team said they are aware of previous concerns, however, with next-gen technology perhaps there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

One thing I noticed at 12:25 that the uppercut doesn't have very heavy gravity like in previous MK's. In that sense, it takes the flow of Igau

Wow guys. So according to K.O.E. anybody that decides to pick up MKX and didn't play the other ones is a bandwaggoner. You're the perfect example of a community that shits on itself in that regard, and I hope everybody that reads what you has to say uses it as a direct example of what NOT to be like.

Pretty much...I ain't denying jack! Been following MK forever and plenty of people shitted on MK9. Never even gave it a chance because it's not the norm. NRS is known for not being afraid to try new things and being innovative.

Max probably didn't shit on MK9, but he didn't support either. Just as bad IMO.

I would like to see Tom Brady, REO, PL, or someone more relevant to our community get hands-on with MKX.
